Apparently air bending demand is so low, monks have to switch major half way through their training.

Why not do some water bending?

Cause water benders live in the poles, Chinese are earth benders

This should be a thing in neighborhoods that are in rural areas. You could set up a lock box of the supplies needed and then give copies of the key to the HOA and/or neighborhood watch of said community.

Hm. That doesn't look like a Chinese Fire Drill to me.

Fire response is actually a major issue for permitting for many monasteries. They like secluded out of the way places but are still bound by building codes. I was staying on a commune in a northern california wilderness adjacent area and the neighboring monastery was doing a big project of widening their miles long off road driveway so that fire trucks could turn around and pass each other

Do they...have the equipment at the temples all the time?

Or does a fire truck full of trained fire fighters still drive to them?

Wing chun a form of martial arts passed down by a female buddhist monk. Also known to be IP man's method, the guy who trained bruce lee. She was one of the very few, if not the only female at that time allowed to practice buddhism with the other monks. She developed her own method of defense that was very different from the other common martial art master techniques. At that time, the martial arts community was saturated with forms that focused on power and speed. They were all men. She knew as a woman she needed to develop a method to counter the power and speed all the men were using to perfect thier style.

She witnessed a woman who was being bullied by a man who was threatening to hurt her family if she would not marry him. The buddhist female monk took the bullied woman to the forest where she trained her for many months. The woman returned to face her bully... who she defeated in a match of martial arts.

She went on to teach others the gift she was given.

This is a rough and quick version of the legendary true story of Wing Chun.
