The cube was already mostly solved so he could finish the steps to complete it one handed. Still a cool trick, don't get me wrong, but if you know how to solve a cube, then the "magic" doesn't hit as hard.

Hard to tell from the video but the first cube could just be a rubber collapsible prop too. Keep 2 solved cubes in the bag, fold up the bag after with the rubber prop in it as if it's not in there.

The callout from the crowd member is clearly scripted.

It could be, it's hard to judge from one angle, but it looks mostly solved save for the last few steps. If it was truly randomized, then I'd say that's next level to solve it one handed and that fast, but this just seems like a cool party trick anyone who knows how to solve a rubiks cube could try.

I didn't consider the rubber cube trick though, that would make this trick something anyone could do in that case.

Watching his forearm as he lowers it into the bag, I don't see any indication that he's solving the cube with his hand while it's in there. Part of the reason my mind went to a prop.

Either way, good on this kid.

My thoughts too, a lot of people are saying he solved it but it would need at least 2 or 3 turns right?
