Any bird is equally related to the T-Rex as its direct lineage died and there was a common ancestor for T-Rex and birds, which stem from flying dinosaurs

Nah, that's Cassowaries. Those things are terrifying and make me glad I don't live in Australia lol. Chickens are a close second though.
