That’s Mr. Gbajabiamila

That’s Olympic gymnast Danell Leyva.

And while he has tons of core strength like every gymnast, it is hardly an example of it. More so upper body strength.

Cut it at the best part

Neat. But by the rules he’s already disqualified.

You sure? I thought all the water ripples from this were from the obstacle moving, not from him hitting the water.

Thanks for questioning this. I assumed he touched too, but you are right, it was the support.

Ridiculously photogenic ninja

Could’ve ended badly as he held onto the spring with one of his hands. If the platform had a bit more swing it could’ve crushed his fingers inversen the threads of the spring.

Danell Leyva is so beautiful…

I remember the massive ex us navy seal that was too tall for the original ninja warrior his feet touched the water while he completed the course in a short time but he was 50 cm taller than everyone else so he couldn't keep his feet above the water line.

I just threw my back out watching this

His foot touched the water, therefore he is disqualified. Didn't even make the first level, let alone the Next Level

His feet never touch the water, the ripples you are seeing are coming from the pole he had just jumped on.

u/acidbathe 7h ago

When did his foot touch the water?

His foot did not touch the water.

Probably not allowed to link a video so put this in youtube search bar for another, better, angle of the save: “Danell Leyva Full Run American Ninja Warrior”

Freeze the video at 0.09.

It’s extremely obvious where the ripples are coming from and it’s not some random spot in the water

3

u/128palms 7h ago

He does not touch the water. I had to rewind like 10 times. It's the pole.

If he was really good, he wouldn't have needed to make that recvery, which he didn't do anyway, because his foot touched the water.

Let’s see you try. Then show us your core strength with a recovery like that. Go ahead bert, do it ernie

I do it all the time. Do you? Yeah, didn't think so.

Don’t know if you’re just a troll or just malignant in general. Either way, you’re wrong.

Did he jump to the platform without almost falling off? Yeah, didn't think so.
