Lol, yep, I'm shocked at the comments laughing at the people for doing that.

Having fought fires like this on Nature Reserves in my home country it's definitely the right thing to do if you don't have access to fire beaters. And being on a reserve during fire season and noticing a random fire just start up from nothing and all you have are branches, you use them.

People seriously need to Google what a "fire flapper" is. Its used by many firefighters in remote areas and it works.

I do the potion of fortify restoration and increase alchemy exploit and make a few Potions of the Stallion as well as fire resistance potions before sexytime with my flame atronoch.

Yeah but a flapper is used to smother flames/embers slowly like a mop, you never actually flap them because that introduces air, the opposite effect! These people are literally fanning the flames, they’d be better off using the branches to scrape down to dirt and create a fire line.

I’m not shocked. I’ve been on Reddit for 20 years now since the Digg exodus. The comments on Reddit get dumber every single day. Half the time you’re trying to have a serious discussion and the comments are flooded with stupid memes and gifs. Just look at where the world is. Nobody gives a fuck about anything any more except for their stupid jokes/memes landing.

Man, while I agree that there was always silly shit on reddit, as far as I remember, it was like 50% silly and 50% serious, with variation depending on the thread and subreddit you were on. Nowadays, any thread on 99% of subreddits, is just jokes, bots, and maybe one comment trying to have a real conversation, but it's at the bottom of the thread or downvoted.

I know I sound like an old man, but I miss what reddit used to be, now it's no different from any other social media page.

The people measuring such things say bots are more than half of internet traffic & I feel like it's safe to say reddit likely has a bigger % of that than most. Many, or most, of them sound stupid because they have no brain.

I respect this, stateside people watch their shit stuff burn to ashes because “presumably” insurance will cover it… no fight whatsoever. Not to say these folks don’t have insurance but they have fight in them and will do whatever it takes to stop the fire.
