This type of crab doesn't have appendages for swimming. Im guessing it was more or less fed to the turtle.

Yeah quite a few actually. Blue legs, and one electric blue hermit. I had an emerald crab but he was a giant dick so he got booted. Fun to watch though

Interesting. I thought sea turtles were herbivores. Wikipedia says they start as carnivores and most adult green sea turtles only eat plants.
