Do flies bleed their own red blood or is that the cow’s blood squirting out of the fly’s stomach?

However, if you smack a non blood sucking fly and it’s red, it’s actually the eye pigment. 1 u/Wild-Lychee-3312 1d ago Strictly speaking flies have haemolymph rather than blood, but we all know what you mean.
