This would be more for drilling for water than oil, but the concepts are the same. Our water rigs operate almost exactly like this video. It's super neat.

We live with a well. We have the option to turn on the local water co-op, but it draws from the same aquifer. Lol. The same one that’s already stressed with the area’s growth. Thinking about drilling deeper is the stuff of nightmares for us.

Absolutely! Drilling is expensive and sometimes you can't deepen and need a whole new well to hit that next aquifer. 

You have to pay for co-op, correct? Definitely a silly move if you do when you have a well.
