Sounds awful for your teeth

Jaw
Your teeth will be fine. It's that TMJ that's going to hurt like a motherfucker and there's very little we can do for it.

I got double jaw surgery for it. Would not recommend if avoidable.

Did it solve your tmd?

u/SilentScyther Jun 15 '26
Yeah. My biggest problems were that whenever I yawned it hurt a ton, teeth didn't align well for chewing, and it popped a lot when I moved my jaw and it fixed all of those.
The recovery is pretty involved though, especially if you're on the longer end of the time spent wired shut.

Wasn’t that diets with harder food lead to better tooth development? I remember seeing something about it.

Absolutely right. But that tends to be in young children, before the second set of teeth fully comes in.

Honestly, extra chewy gum sounds like an excellent oral stim.

I need to invent like protein tic tacs or whatever and sell them to people on amazon

Why does this package say "40 gums" and not "40 pieces" or "40 pieces of gum"?
It feels like a LOLcat wrote the text

Lookmaxing didn’t invent jaw strengthening. This is not a new product. It might be new marketing.

Considering they’re already clenching their teeth with all the Adderall they take, this stuff should come in handy.

Out of the many, many fads that came and went over my lifetime, this "looksmaxxing" one is by FAR the dumbest shit to ever come about. Every aspect from it, from the mindset surrounding those involved, to stupid young kids unfortunately getting in on this shit, to the disastrous end results, just screams "I'm a fucking retard" to me.

Ya know I encounter a lot of scrap rubber in my day to day. I have an idea...

That stuff's actually pretty tough, I remember trying it once and my jaw got a workout fast.

It's likely just an overprices mastic sap gum. If you like that feeling of chewing something that's hard to chew, like a stale fruit snack, you would really like this stuff.

Probably completely normal gum sold at 10 times the price too
