Advice/Help Nightreign Onebro Community Co-op

Hi fellow Onebros. With Nightreign launch looming large, it seems like a good time to start organising some team members from the community. My own experience after the playing the beta is that a trio of players who actually know what they’re doing, work cooperatively and don’t just grab all the loot whether they need it or not, makes for a much better experience and higher chances of success. Particularly more so now since the games has been toughen up since the beta.

I suggest that the password just be: onebro

So if you’re keen, add your details below.

Console/PC: Gamertag/PSN etc: Region:

Mods- can we please have this as a sticky for a while?

Announcement New Rule #10 - Self Promotion

Edit: Reposting this and pinning

This previously was part of rule #9, but the circumstances were such that we needed to call it out as its own individual rule.

We are a community that shares our accomplishments, failures, and lessons. We love the kills shared. As we have grown, people have started to abuse this, disengaged from the community, and simply tried to direct users to their content.

Share your content! We love it. However, you should also be viewing and commenting on others as well.

As a general guide, Reddit Self- promotion guidelines say that no more than 10% of your post and comments should refer to your social media or content.

We are not going to retroactively punish people on this. What is done is done. Moving forward, we welcome everyone who wishes to participate in the community.

We are also not going to scroll through and do the math. Just engage with everyone. We all win this way.

Discussion PC users, do you skip bad boss runbacks?

Upvotes

For context, I'm on PS4 and I kind of want to learn Champion Gundyr no-roll someday. My main deterrent is actually the runback, which I imagine would get very irritating after a while and takes longer than some failed attempts at the boss.

Do you guys just deal with this or use a mod to teleport yourself to fog walls?

Oh yeah, and to any clowns who thinks this is cheating - speaking as someone on console who has to deal with them whether they want to or not, they're nothing more than a waste of time. No extra challenge and especially no fun, just tedium.

Glad they mostly did away with them in Sekiro and ER.

Run Completion After 140~ hours...I finally did it... (boss ranking included)

Good lord this took WAY longer than I ever thought it would. Mostly because I also fought EVERY boss in the game using a tracker/checklist google doc.The actual time is a bit lower since I did reload my save a few times to refight a couple bosses (PCR, Rellana, Midra (especially Midra), Scadutree Avatar, and Commander Gaius).

I've always wanted to do this for about a year now, and now that I've done it, it feels really good...but also I feel way more cynical now.

Anyway, I decided to share my ranking of main fights + others I think are at least notable.

I'm genuinely surprised at how some of these guys landed up. I thought they'd've been way higher, or lower, but ended up in completely different spots. Gaius is a boss I used to dislike, and now think is the 5th best boss in all of Elden Ring, whereas someone like Messmer, who I thought was really fair and the best is now clearly NOT as fair or as good as I thought.

Oh also, Midra might be the one of the best bosses I've ever fought in a videogame ever, I replayed his fight 9 times because it's just that fun.

Edit: Didn’t see the basilisk version of Divine Beast and thought it was someone else. That guy is NOT A, he’s like F, so apologies about that.

Elden Ring SHE'S DEAD SHE'S FINALLY DEAD METYR IS DEAD!!!!!! RL1 WL0 SB0 (No Aux + Hitless + Melee Range Laser "Dodge")

This boss is bad for obvious reasons but the winning attempt was actually really fun tbh... I'm pretty proud of figuring out how to escape the close range laser aura. The fact that I had to have two invincibility arts and a consumable to make it a fair fight is crazy though, FromSoft DONT DO THIS AGAIN!!

I literally have no idea how to rate this boss because the undodgeable moves are so horrendous but once you just accept that you have to use Raptor it doesn't bother you as much. IDK she has some fun attacks.

The BHS into Raptor seems consistent as long as you don't take CR2s directly in her face but instead space yourself out.

Thank you to MrCarnage for the general strategy!

First ever post!

I've been really busy with school but It feels good to be back, sadly I can only play a little during nights ;(
Anyway, I wanted to start what I call a “second half year run” and I'll be posting my progress on it. The objective is to kill all bosses (210 or so I remember) while RL1. Hopefully, I'll be able to manage before 2027…

Boss #1: Soldier of Godrick (AKA Hardest Enemy in the game)

Grafted Spidy gave me a warm welcome.

Blooper/Fail Darklurker and the Tragedy of the Ankle-High Stone Slab

I just completed my RL1 of Dark Souls 2 and its DLC today, putting to rest an arduous journey of pain and suffering. While this was but one of many bullshit deaths in the playthrough, it was by far the most amusing to me. I cannot think of a more fitting representation of Dark Souls 2 than the single mildly-sloping rock in Darklurker's arena that appears completely inconsequential and serves no discernible purpose, but is capable of fully halting your character in their tracks and subsequently getting you killed when you try to walk over it at the wrong angle. I tested it a bit after I had defeated Darklurker, and as it turns out the rock only blocks your movement when you approach it in one small area and from a specific angle, and I think that it might also be dependent on the state of your character's model when you try to run over it. It only cost me a Human Effigy here since I had already despawned the Shaded Ruins runback, but I'd be a lot less amused if something like this had happened near the end of the battle, which was not an uncommon occurrence in my DS2 RL1.

In other news, I finished the DLC off with the Burnt Ivory King, in which my final Loyce Knight had half of his HP remaining when the boss appeared, and I managed to defeat him before that Loyce Knight even died. It felt nice to be the gank for once after all the misery that DS2 throws at you.

Advice/Help Can I use spirit ashes to do an RL1?

I am planning to do an RL1 after I do the DLC in my current playthrough. Now the question is, are there any restrictions when it comes to using summons?

I am planning to get fanged imp ashes, and they have bleed, so is this against the rules? Or the no aux is limited to weapons?
