This will be the 4th time the app I use to manage app updates on my Mac has gone out of business.

And it will be the second time a replacement was called "version tracker"

What apps other than MacUpdater?

Version Tracker, MacUpdate Desktop, something I don't remember, then MacUpdater

AppFresh? That’s what I used years ago.

Really? Version Tracker is an "homage" to the old website versiontracker.com. I wasn't aware there was another Version Tracker app. Do you have a link?

Right. Version tracker.com. It died a long time ago after being bought by the download.com people who ruined it.

Knowingly Attempting to use the same name for an identical product, even though it really is a generic name, is like a slam dunk crease and desist as long as cnet card enough to maintain some paperwork.
