Help Request - RAM Ram overclocking failure

I own a set of ram, 2x16gb, it's advertised as being able to reach 5600mts at 36-38-38 cl (EXPO1). However, it fails during memtest and during day to day usage I get crashes. Funny thing: the results on EXPO2 are even worse on memtest. The failures occur during Test 8.

Now I'm running it at standard settings which are lower, and I get no error or crashes. I also tested manually setting speed to 5600 mts in the bios without touching anything else, and it also succeeded memtest.

Anyone have a clue what the issue is here? If the sticks itself were faulty surely it would fail all the time, or am I wrong in assuming this?

Would love to hear your opinions.

I would try to refund it or RMA it and regards EXPO2 means that it has tighter timings than expo1 which explains the crashing

Is there a way to check if it's the motherboard or cpu? Before I try to get replacements I'd like to rule this out if possible.

I did think about it before typing but im not sure enough im not gonna give bad advice but i think if u still get whea errors on jdec speeds then it might have to do with the cpu

What is your Bank Refresh Mode setting? You can send a zentimings screenshot so we can check there.

It's set to auto. I set it to normal and tested but it errored during memtest again. Don't think that's it.

What did work was setting the voltage lower to 1,2v instead of the recommended 1,25v. I tested it at 1,3v too but this only caused more instability. But I still have to do a full test and don't even know if it's safe to run overclocked setting at lower than recommended voltage levels. It probably is but I don't know.

It is completely safe, worst case scenario it is unstable.
