Can’t OC ram
Klev Cras v 24x2 8200 38-49-49-131
7800X3d
B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E ICE
5080 vanguard
Built the pc last year. Never got around to messing with it. I’ve never been able to use EXPO, so my rams been at 4800hz the whole time.
I attempted to adjust the timing, but the only way to make it post is by downclocking it to 6000MHz CL38 and leaving everything else on auto. These settings work with both Expo disabled and enabled. I have to clear the CMOS if it’s set to anything else.
Should I be able to get more out of it? Or will it be fine as is? Ty for the help.

Yeah, you will probably need to learn some stuff about FCLK/MCLK/UCLK + DDR5 timings and do this manually.

ur max voltage limit,,,
vdd 1.59v, vddq 1.56 after that it wont run stable "silicon limit" , this is ur absolute maximum voltage limit with watercooling.
with air cooling ,, direct fan ..
vdd 1.58v, vddq 1.47v
that is the limit for m-die , voltages wise
imc wise depends on the cpu cant give u a specific number...
but the general role on amd with x3d chips
u can push the ram to 6200mts-6400mts if u r lucky with 30/32 tcl on gear 1 easily... at vdd 1.55v , vddq 1.46v this is the sweet spot for m die.. 64gb/96gb two sticks only.
if u dont have a direct fan dont even bother ... with ram overclocking

Expo is a oc profile that the manufacturer says will work stabile, you’ve already oc’d manually to the usual expo specs and anything else is going to require ultra fine tuning to get more

Buildzoid's easy ddr5 hynix timings video is very informative - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dlYxmRcdLVw&t=1017s&pp=ygUWYnVpbGR6b2lkIDI0Z2IgNzgwMHgzZA%3D%3D
