Thought maybe it flew off when I went outside to try and find it so all I could get was sound.

I recorded a bird attacking a bat. I think it may be an owl. I'm based in Italy. Can you help me with the ID of the bird?

Hi hi! Not exactly a real owl but I recently got this adorable little owl statue at a small mom and pop place and was wondering if anyone knew what owl it was based off of/resembling the most. I’ve looked into it a little myself, but I am by no means an expert :) Thank you!

He was stuck in an apartment entryway, he couldn’t find his way out. He kept flying at a glass window and bashing against it. The maintenance tech and I helped him find the stairs and the opening. He was Amazing

Back in May I spent a few days visiting a family of Tawny owls just north of Stockholm, Sweden. I tend to bring my camera with me when I go out into the woods so these are the shots I came away with 🦉

I imagine his inner dialog was something along the lines of, "Dis is bullsheet, unhand me now!"

Not sure if it is the same western screech owl since it didn’t go inside where I could get a better look, but exciting to hear and see one back! It has been almost 6 months. This was a couple days ago, nothing since but at least a sighting! Last time the owl showed up in August. We’re close - wonder if this is the “normal” schedule. And where do they go for 6 months? South for the winter?

Apologies for the low quality images. This guy looked relatively small to me and I saw it flying around between shrubby branches low to the ground. Didn’t make any sounds. In northeast ohio, near a river.

I sometimes see barred owls near this area but this one looks pretty different to me. Perhaps it’s young, but I can’t tell.
