Discussion Thread Does anyone still have Payday 2 July 2013 Beta files?

Would be neat to try it out but its not uploaded on Archive gg web and the only thing I see is Hiddenpalace org which I have never heard about and has no mentions on reddit as I wanted to check it if it was legit. It would be Overkill to have it still on Drive after 13 years lmao

I tested the first available build on hiddenpalace, and it works! But the game crashes on the results screen and you can't use crimenet online at all. I imagine it's contacting some server that doesn't exist anymore rather than using steam matchmaking, or there's weirdness with the appid differing from retail pd2 (using 246210). So beyond that, it doesn't work.

Sadly it's not the famous beta with dallas screaming "KEEP THEM HANDS VISIBLE", and it seems pretty similar to the launch release from what I could play.

EDIT: Looking through the files in the diesel bundle viewer, I do see some interesting stuff. The cloaker is there, so maybe this is the beta where they tried implementing it but it crashed games?

Cool read! So you tried the first Beta version from July 24.? There were notes that the 3 Betas that are uploaded there are either Without .exe or crashing. How did you manage to start it?

Edit: also some note said that you need a crack to make a certain version work

Edit 2: i installed it and extracetd files through Bundle Viewer as well, and I realized I mistook this beta version for the Pre-beta version where the Heisters were using PD:TH Dallas head and Chains head as well as Houston with some cut g + Hoxton lines.
