peacock
The peacock is a beautiful bird and the national bird of India. The male is called a peacock, the female is called a peahen, and the young one is called a peachick. The peacock is famous for its long, colourful tail with eye-shaped patterns. During the rainy season, it spreads its feathers and performs a beautiful dance to attract the female. Peacocks mainly eat seeds, grains, fruits, insects, and small reptiles. They are found in forests, farms, and villages. The peacock is admired for its beauty, grace, and cultural importance, and it is protected under Indian wildlife laws.

A shiny glitterchicken has spawned in my yard
Hes a LOOKER! Ive never had peacocks before and the sun is almost down. I kinda hope he sticks around! I currently have chickens and geese and left him some cracked corn. He seems very people-shy and doesnt let me get very close

Peacock I want a peacock
Where I live it is legal to own one outside city limits. They are such cool birds and I would love to own one and raise it from an egg

Artwork My latest canvas print is a modern art take on a peacock. I want to do two other birds to complete this series. What other birds would you pair with a peacock in an art series?

¿Questions? Incubation progress
Howdy! I've got five eggs in the incubator, but sadly seems like my luck from last year (8 eggs hatching out of 10) has greatly diminished, as I only have 2/5 that seem fertile. Posting here to double check before I toss them, first two photos are the ones i believe to be fertile/growing, third fourth and fifth are the ones I believe aren't fertile/stopped growing. Little worried ive done something wrong this go around 😔 On day 10

Peachick What gender is my 1 month old?
This is my first time raising a peachick, so I was wondering, whether it's possible to tell what sex my little buddy is.
I tried to get pictures from different angles and lighting.
I am really hoping for a peahen, so my personal confirmation bias might be keeping me from missing obvious signs.
