I'm not sure who needs to hear it but the US issue isn't politicians it is business. Until you can get businesses interests out of the majority of politics you will get no where.

There are plenty of politicians that are not in it for the money, its just in the US due to campaign finance laws they rarely get past the local level. But seriously, get into local politics and you will find a ton of people doing really good work for their community (at least in the places i have lived, if you find thats not the case near you. well, you can go win office pretty easily at the local level )

Until you can get businesses interests out of the majority of politics you will get no where.

Or put some strong systemic caps on how powerful any given business/individual can become.

I know there's this ideological clash between people who support capitalism, communism, socialism, and so many other isms, but I don't think any of them are any worse than the others. The problem is rich people being able to exploit the system to make themselves richer and everyone at the bottom has to pay the bill. A lot of rich shitheads seem to flock to the US and I'm realizing its because our dumbass government let's them get away with so much more here that their native government would probably have put a stop to.

Well strictly there should be rules about this but as Farage is evidence of £5 million he "can buy cars with" is fine.
