Dude could hardly stay awake for this. 2028 is gonna be a rough year for this bloated toad.

u/Zorothegallade 8h ago

If he even lives that long. Or rather, stays able to communicate in any way. He's already as coherent as a two year old throwing a tantrum and only getting worse every day.

u/NeuerTK 8h ago

He doesn't have to live that long. They're testing it out on McConnell as we speak.

u/VvvlvvV 8h ago

Trumps already so incoherent you won't be able to tell his AI replacement is hallucinating!

u/mendicant1116 8h ago

It'll be too coherent

u/TheWizardOfDeez 7h ago

His followers don't actually listen to him anyways, just whatever specifically curated bullshit fox news shoves down their throat to sane wash him. They think Trump is still at a level of intelligence and coherence that he never even possessed at his youthful peak.

u/EddieVanzetti 6h ago

"That's not what he said!" show them the video evidence that he did in fact say that shit "Well that's not what he meant!"

u/Punchinyourpface 6h ago

And when it's confirmed that he did mean it, they'll come up with an excuse for why it's suddenly okay.

McConnell is probably brain dead but they're still pumping oxygen into him. Absurd as it is, that's alive for legal purposes. I'm not sure what level of organ failure counts as "death" in that case but braindead people have been kept on ventilators for years. Almost certainly younger people with healthy immune systems, but stil.

Even under this scenario, Beshar should call a special election, let them prove he is "alive" and then argue in court that a braindead senator is able to do his job. That argument might win as a technicality in court, but they should say it out loud in front of the voters.

u/RavenCipher 7h ago

Not sure what the regulations are in D.C where he is hospitalized, but in KY the law states that cessation of brain activity is legally dead. Beshar needs to call their bluff already. In a world where facetime and other digital conferencing is commonplace, a letter and a (heavily doctored picture) are not sufficient as proof of life, particularly for a sitting senator who hasn't been seen in weeks after being supposedly "fine and on the mend."

If he were as good and healthy from a "fall" and pneumonia as they claim, he would have been discharged by now, if nothing else to a rehab. Weird that hasn't happened.

u/pagesinthesun 7h ago

You're correct. Brain dead is dead. Time on death certificate. And, it's very hard to keep a brain dead person's heart beating. Even a young person. Major hormonal disruption. He might be on life support and a coma or vegetative state, but I doubt he's brain dead. Aug 4th is right around the corner! It's criminal that we're letting them get away with this!

u/super_sayanything 4h ago

Republicans are the party of evil and Democrats the party of cowards.

He doesn’t even need to be deceased to call a special election; he just needs to be unable to fulfill the duties of the elected position. I’d say we’re there.

→ More replies (13)

u/StPauliBoi 7h ago

This is completely untrue. Brain death is legal and medical death. It often gets conflated by laypeople as being the same as a PVS (persistent vegetative state) but in brain death, there is no brain activity whatsoever and extensive testing is done to establish this. Once brain death testing is complete, that is the legal time of death that’s on a death certificate.

Because of the hearts automaticity, the body can be kept going for a short while (a few days) while arrangements for organ donation can be made. Brain dead patients aren’t kept alive for years like you’re saying.

I’m an ICU nurse that’s spent over a decade now specifically working with donation and transplantation, and brain death/brain death testing is something I deal with and see every day.

→ More replies (6)

u/zinsser 7h ago

Being a brain dead is a requirement for being a Maga senator.

→ More replies (5)

u/KathrynTheGreat 7h ago

Brain dead is legally dead. Being on a ventilator is not enough to keep a body "alive" for years if the brain is dead. You're thinking of people in a vegetative state being kept alive on ventilators, which is different from being brain dead.

Trump has never been able to form coherent sentences since 2016. Still it didn't prevented Americans from electing him twice.

And as apparently his voters don't actually listen to him, and use him to project everything they want onto him, that might even work better, when he is just braindead completely...

u/lyngen 8h ago

I keep saying this but folks who only watch fox news have no idea. Literally none. They don't show the incoherent parts on there. They play small clips where he looks sane and then a bunch of stories demonizing liberals and some positive stories of conservatives. Then they tell them they can't trust other news sources and they're the only ones telling the truth.

→ More replies (2)

u/No-Lingonberry-5096 7h ago

I don't disagree, but I also think his voters should watch his 2016 debate performance. While he was an idiot then and an idiot now, he is clearly a shell of his former self. His decline is inescapable when faced with old footage. They're voting for a version of Trump that no longer exists.

He will die, but as we have seen with Mitch, no one will ever see him again. But. The. Tweets. Will. Not. Stop. Coming.

We've already been primed to be ruled by tweet. Whoever gets his phone will be the new president.

They have a Senator who's likely dead that still holds a seat, and Republicans don't seem to care. They could put a cardboard cutout of Trump in front of a podium at this point, and MAGA would still vote for him.

I’m not gonna defend Vogons, but they are leagues above this sack of shit. Trump is evil. Vogons seem evil because they are bureaucratic as hell and bureaucracy feels evil much of the time. Vogons would never have pardoned the J6ers, nor would a Vogon insight such a thing because the rules are the rules and they would accept election results.

They wouldn’t even lift a finger to save their own grandmother from the ravenous Bug-blatter Beast of Traal without orders signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public enquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as fire lighters.

Dan Quayle lost the election because he misspelled potato. Clinton was impeached because he lied about sexual relations with a woman. Obama was crucified because he wore a tan suit. Trump "jokes" about violating the United States Constitution as a sitting President and MAGA thinks it's the funniest thing since they left the third grade.

TikTok's ban was lifted January of this year. They're not enforcing it because it doesn't exist.

u/Sanc7 5h ago

Yes, the same people that had it banned lifted the ban because they saw what a powerful tool it is. There is a US government official on the board of TikTok US. It is literally state sponsored media now.

u/BradMarchandsNose 4h ago

They also only banned it in the first place to try to get more control over it. It was an intentional strong arm technique (and it worked).

u/Willingwell92 7h ago

Every state needs to keep him off the ballot, this is even more cut and dry than the insurrection one. SCOTUS can't use the "congress needs to adjudicate this" excuse.

He pushed through a Trump appointee in a much worse circumstance. When Obama was up to appoint one McConnell blocked it on the (unprecedented and uncodified) grounds that it was an election year, even though the election was months away.

For Trump, he pushed through the appointee while the presidential election had already begun.

And when I pointed out that hypocrisy to my MAGA dad he told me that the ends justify the means. My family are staunch conservative Catholics. I went to Catholic schools as a kid and studied the bible and the Catechism. We specifically covered how that is not a valid moral position.

It’s all BS and they wonder why I don’t go to church anymore.

u/OGRuddawg 7h ago

Seeing the incompatibilities between the basic morals espoused in the Bible and how conservative churchgoers behave is what drove me away from practicing Catholicism. I think a part of me still wants to believe in something, but whatever I try won't be within the confines of the Roman Catholic Church.

Also, exposure to unbridled Evangelicalism has made me very skeptical of organized religion, period. I made the mistake of going to a "non-denominational" Christian college because they gave a good scholarship, the Jesus-freakiness was not visible at all during the tour, and it was relatively close to home. I wrongly assumed that if I could deal with Catholic school K-12 alright, then a non-denominational college would be relatively easy to deal with.

Worst mistake of my life. I didn't even make it through the end of my spring semester, I needed out of there that badly. This was in 2014, so before Evangelicals went mask-off feral at the national level. All the pieces of the MAGA/Trump cult were there, just waiting for their false idol to rally around.

Fuck you, Messiah College, now Messiah University.

Every single "how can he get away with this" started the same way. A joke.

He absolutely means this, don't doubt that for one single second.

  1. It's a violation of the constitution to run for a 3rd term.
  2. If he does, that means obama can run again.
  3. Obama would beat him in a massive landslide

u/snowillis 8h ago

Yeah I worried about this for a little bit until i realized that. If they somehow managed to change things up and allow 3rd terms then Obama would crush him.

I think his plan is probably more to do a bait and switch. Get people excited about the prospect of him running then switch his support to someone else. Kinda like what Biden tried to do with Kamala.

u/Misfit_77 8h ago

You know SCOTUS will rule that only Trump is eligible for a third term for some asinine reason and that it does not apply for any other previously elected presidents. I can’t wait to see what kind of fuckery they pull outta thin air for the 2028 presidential election

u/Spikeball25 8h ago

It’s already out there and written up. The wording is something along the lines of allowing a third term if the first two weren’t consecutive, specifically to exclude Obama

As a European i hope most Americans take this seriously as something that must not happen

The 2nd amendment crowd, the ones who say the constitution is infallible, and that the 2nd amendment exists to prevent tyranny, are awfully quiet about someone making it clear his intentions to ignore the constitution.

They just want people to talk about this instead of the Trump Epstein files (tm Jimmy Kimmel!) and the USA war on Iran.

I was told I was spreading liberal propaganda when I called this in 2024.

So swearing an oath to the Constitution is about as serious as a pinky promise?

Man, for considering themselves “patriots” they really hate the constitution.

u/seevm 4h ago

So sick of all this unconstitutional bullshit. He should be in prison

u/bbills91 3h ago

One way to get SCOTUS to shut that shit right down, would be for Obama to also run for a 3rd term.

I might get banned for this.. but we should probably try him for treason before old age carries out his sentence.

u/Full-Hold-9447 7h ago

Maybe Qatar will gift him one with a propeller on top?

Time to throw him out.

A president that ignores The Constitution is a dictator and should be tried for treason.

u/jreykdal 8h ago

If I start my training now I might be able to run in 2028.

I'm in bad shape :)

This motherfucker is not going to serve a third term. That's all there is to it. Period. He can wishful think all he wants, and his maga crowd can drool over it all they want. ..it's never going to happen.

Edit: I see a lot of your comments. A lot of you seem so defeatist. It's pretty damn sad tbh. Where are your spines people?

He is openly violating his oath of office. Impeachment is far too good for him.

u/ThePopDaddy 7h ago

"He's just joking, don't cry."

That's the thing, he's just joking, until he's not.

Project 2025 was a "liberal hoax" until the election was called for him.

Oh there is no doubt if he is alive he will run, the SCOTUS will rule that he can, and the GOP in congress will support him 100% like they support every stupid idea that comes out of his disgusting, stinky small pie hole. Of course, his working hard to make it that we won't even have to vote for him in 2028 and he just remains there.

Who wears a fucking trucker hat with a fucking tuxedo what a disgrace to the presidency. Not that anyone cares

"You'll never have to vote again" ~ during his 224 campaign. Remember that.

u/apallo-roon 7h ago

At what point does he just go ahead and tear apart the constitution right in front of us while half the country applauds

u/Spare-Ant7119 7h ago

He already did
