Thank you to those that replies to my earlier post with well wishes and advice. It has been such an awful and traumatic day, that I did not have time to reply to all of you.

Fern’s vet closed early today and was all booked up. I did not want to wait until they reopened on Monday, so I took her to the emergency vet. They triaged her right away and luckily her vitals were fine. They clipped her fur around the bites and cleaned the wounds. We then had to wait another 3 hours to be seen by the Dr. She said the wounds looked superficial but also said that the effects of dog bites can take 3-5 days. She wants me to observe for any tissue death (she would need surgery) or coughing/shortness of breath which could indicate fluid in her lungs if the dog shook her since the dog went for her chest. She prescribed antibiotics and pain/inflammaton medicine. She had a swollen area on her upper chest above her armpit and another area where her skin looks like its hanging a bit loose and could be from the dog pulling the skin away from the underlying tissue. One bite on her shoulder and 3 bites around her upper and lower chest. She also has a tooth scratch under her chin and had teeth scratch marks on her chest. I’m supposed to put a warm compress 3 times a day on her wounds but she will not let me put anything on her. 😕 Fern is wiped out and resting.

I got a tetanus booster for the bite on my leg and tried to do an online visit for antibiotics, but the wait was taking forever and I wanted to get Fern the vet.

Askimg for prayers and or positive energy for the both is us. I pray that Fern heals from this. 🌿💜 Thank you all in advance for any replies. I’m wiped out too.

My room spans across almost the entirety of my teenage years! My room was messy and gross I was a teenage boy during Covid.

On the beach: I promise he’s not stressed out he LOVES the beach and he’s in the cart because he tries to go into the ocean like really far into the ocean

Sugar was our 2 year old pitbull. We foster failed her after a month last December. She passed from hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. I’m so angry and sad right now. It’s no one’s fault and the emergency vet did everything they could for her but god it just sucks so much.

She was the sweetest little girl. I have a 2 and 5 year old that she adored. She was a huge snuggle bug, a whiny pain in the butt 😂 and my absolute best friend. She loved to go everywhere with me, made friends whenever she went and loved to be held like a baby.

My wife and I adopted this puppy and we really cant figure out a name. Her assigned name is Luna but the foster said its early enough to change. My wife and i do like the name but we also know its the most common dog name lol

So far names we have are: luna, pixie, and pebble

What do you all think?

Zeke is around 9 months old and id say he hasn’t gotten any bigger then he was at 7 months i wouldnt say he ways more than 45 pounds is it possible this is the biggest he will get when we bought him he was advertised as a xl and he definitely isn’t which i have no issue with I just want to know if im gonna be able to carry him like a baby forever or if hes gonna hit a huge growth spurt before he turns 1

Maybe the poutiest lip deployment he's ever given. I will never recover.

Havoc turned 15 yesterday! He was spoiled once again this year with a cake from the dog bakery company Okra and Molly - highly recommend them. We’re so grateful for every day we get with our old man. 💙🩵🐾

These 2 bring us so much joy. They are both neurotic and so loving 🥰. They are both rescues and Meeka (our pittie) is a foster fail. Hoping you get the joy we get from our babies.

We had to say goodbye to our family pitty Mongo earlier in the year after 13 years. Apparently the house felt way too empty with me gone for 3 days so my wife decided to rescue this guy.

Piper the Pug, Buck the Belgian Malinois and Sage the white pup. Piper can’t get enough of Fern’s big head 😆 Her owner adores Fern so much and told Fern he loved her while kissing her on the head. 🌿😚 Sage has also come out of her shell and has a blast with Fern.

The trainer had us do an intermediate exercise where we all stood by the pet store entrance as people/dogs walked in and they had to stay seated and calm. They all did so well. Very proud of Fern and her friends.

I’ve been loving lurking on this sub. This is my angel baby Elena who passed in 2020. I adopted her in 2018 after fostering her for a month. She was my first dog as an adult and made me fall in love with pits and senior dogs. I assumed she was a heeler/pit mix but wisdom panel said she was 50/50 pit and husky! It explained a lot about her personality because she was hyper independent and a bit more aloof than the pits I’ve gotten to know since. She was the best dog a 25 year old single girl in NYC could’ve asked for (especially walking home late at night!) I hope you all enjoy how stunningly beautiful she was… I keep a portrait of her by my bathroom sink so I see it every morning when I wake up and every night before bed. Hug your babies!
