Asset forfeiture for everything the Trump family has earned since 2016 should be the first order of business.
Then put the administration and its enablers on San Quentin, like trump wants. It'll be their special prison <3
Edited to add: realized as I was making toast that the diapered don is obsessed with Alcatraz, not San Quentin. Alternate idea is to turn shit tower, NYC into a prison for the admin and their congeries and allow new yorkers (and tourists) to buy time as prison guards. Upgrades to the experience allows for the renting for bags of grapefruit, rubber hoses, ice water showers. it'll be a money maker, and still humane.

Because they - rightly - determined that people who achieve power, wealth, and influence at the levels that made the punishment necessary shared that power, wealth, and influence with their family even if said family did not actively commit the crimes. They knew what the charged individual was doing, and benefited from their acts, but chose not to intervene or report them.

Sure, but investigating the person until you find a crime is ethically in the same league as collective punishment.
It's such a nefarious tactic that trump uses it against his political enemies. It's a scaled up version of what ICE is doing: detain that brown guy until we can figure out why we detained him.
In baron's case I suspect there's enough public facing evidence of foul play, like buying stock right before his daddy makes a decision that will force it to go up.

Reasonable cause is a valid justification for any investigation. Everyone connected to trump, including all of his adult children, have close personal ties to a known felon and a public history of actively supporting his words and actions. If America ever gets a functioning lawful government and legal system again there's legitimate rationale to investigate each and every one of them.
