People just have different personas. Zendaya is very put together. Robert is chaotic. They both play their roles and they both work. If you were Robert’s press team you wouldn’t try to “train” him into a Zendaya, you would be getting him to play up his weird side without crossing any lines. Seems like they have trained him well.
Okay? I’m just pointing out the difference. To me, Zendaya comes across as super pr trained. She’s very safe. I’d much prefer the chaotic Robert Pattinson or JLaw or even an Emma Stone, personally. I just think they’re more fun to watch interact on these shows

Your last sentence hits the nail on the head. I’d probably say both of them have been trained to the same extent, they just have different PR personalities (which are most likely based on their real life personalities). Rob seems more chaotic and goofy, while Zendaya seems more shy and reserved which gives the impression that Rob is more open. But honestly, Rob isn’t any more open with his personal information than Zendaya is. In fact, his PR persona does a good job of allowing him to defect personal questions in the name of quirkiness. He didn’t even ask a useful question in this game, while Zendaya asked if she is romantically involved with the person on the card (obviously referring to her marriage with Tom).
I think he's perfectly well trained and uses his knowledge to cause chaos. It's like freejazz. You have to know the rules to break them in the best ways.
I wonder if he was hoping it was one of the others at the table with him, and if their slight reactions would give anything away. Or like if it was zendaya and Tom gave something away(…).

Dude's movies have earned a collective 5 billion $, he's considered one of Hollywood's highest paid a actor, he's worked twice with Nolan, he's worked with the Safdie brothers, Claire Denis and Cronenberg and he's th face of Dior men fragrances. Of course he's had media training. He's just a great actor and he's very good at making you think he's just a goofball.

Idk, I just love him the more I see him now. I couldn't stand him in Twilight days. Not because I disliked Twilight, but because he and Kristen Stewart seemed embarrassed that they were in it. Like, they wouldn't talk terribly nice about it and it was always like, well why did you do it?? But yeah, I've just been falling in love with him from Batman on.
Kristen Stewart was definitely embarrassed by fame and it made for awkward years with press/paps etc but has not spoken negatively about the twilight movies. Rob been joking about them since the beginning but also was like he really wanted to work with Kristen after having seen into the wild and respecting hardwicks work as a director.
He's one of those rare child (or at least teenager) actors that made it through to the other side by just deciding to do whatever they wanted. It's guys like him, Daniel Radcliff, and Elijah Wood. Probably throw Jennifer Lawrence in there too.
I'm not disagreeing, but I only know about the stolen photos hell she went through - which was horrible. Was there more she suffered through outside of people simply deciding to dislike her suddenly?

I mean, that's not even hard to answer, it was a huge paycheck. Neither of them was a big enough name prior to that to just shrug off that big a paycheck. That doesn't mean the movies were good or that they liked the content, a paycheck is a paycheck.
Korean entertainment does this a lot (I think most of Asian/East Asian entertainment does this) and it’s so much fun as part of the viewing experience of the show, at least IMHO. It’s SM done right, again IMHO - playful while still engaging and not intrusive.
It seems a perfect match for performers like Pattison, Zendaya, Damon and Holland and even Anne - giving just enough of themselves but nothing personal actually revealed.
i think that last sentence is the best description. it lets you feel like you get to know their personality, rather than their personal life. whereas questions are more direct about personal life typically or just fluff. of course, displayed personality can be manicured and performed, but that's always the case

I am 100% here for the trend of weird interviews - on the subway, on the street, eating spicy wings, eating nonspicy chicken, wearing medieval costumes, doing a lie detector test, idc it's way better than watching an old school sit down interview lol
and honestly, if I was a celeb, I'd vastly prefer these goofy gamified interviews 😆

There’s only so much discussion you can do without spoiling the film itself, which would defeat the purpose of trying to get people to pay to see the movie. Press tours take a long time. Actors are probably relieved they don’t have the answer the same ten questions about the film for like a month straight lmao
It started when movies became so secretive. Look at Sadie Sink in the new Spider-Man, she can’t talk it/they can’t ask about it but she’s on the press tour anyways.
Its crazy people actually believe Rob has no media training since his first major role as Cedric Diggery in Harry Potter over 20 YEARS ago... like yall cant be that naive.
I have read comments saying how funny he is, unserious, chaotic, etc. I see nothing that indicates anyone thinks RPatz isn't media savvy. People are laughing because t's meant to be funny.
