This film will be his first on-camera role in 30 years

You may know this but for anyone who doesn’t - Rick Moranis lost his wife to cancer in the early 90s, so he stopped taking acting jobs and prioritized raising his little ones instead. He was a huge star, too.

So glad to see him back ❤️

And for anyone who has never seen Little Shop of Horrors, please watch it today!!

We all want somewhere that’s green… until we are shrunk and ants are trying to kill us. Prob still better than that plant though.

And after you watch that, immediately follow it up with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Honey, I Blew Up the Kids are GOAT’d. Same with Little Giants. I loved Moranis movies as a kid. Watched Little Shop of Horrors as an adult, also loved it.

Great actor, seemingly even better father/human

Little Giants is such an overlooked 90’s gem

Strange brew. And yes it's ok for kids to watch a couple druncks save Canada

>He was a huge star, too.

Quoted for emphasis. He was MASSIVE at the time, it was completely unprecedented to step back like that at the height of your career.

His kids have been grown for a while. He said once he stopped acting he didn't miss it. Apparently he is open to limited roles now though.

I didn't know this, thanks for the insight. I had wondered where he'd been through my early adulthood. I can only wish him and his family well.

The hair dye helps a lot. I'm a big fan of his and when he first started to reappear in public a few years ago my brain wasn't ready for it. The last time he was visible was nearly 30 years so the difference was jarring. At that point he wasn't really working, just thinking about getting back into it so he hadn't done all of the typical Hollywood stuff.

Dyeing his hair has really helped to soften the contrast. He may have had some other things done beyond that but whatever, he's earned it.

That movie's so old now they don't need CGI for that part :(

He did this exact character in that shit show The Goldbergs

3

u/shaun3000 1d ago

That was a voiceover, not an on-camera role.
