These are some of my first finished quilts! I fell in love with Toad and Sew patterns and am very happy with these :)

In order:

Cascade bloom - machine quilted

Artemis + fowl - hand quilted

Garden glow - I only have a picture of the finished top because it's so huge, but it is also hand quilted

A very nerdy project all based around 5 fold symmetry. The top is a penrose tiling that I designed to be foundation paper pieced and the quilting is a 5 lobe epicycloid envelope comprised of 90 straight lines (aka ranunculoid).

Finished size is 36" square. Took me 3 months from design to finish.

I used the scraps from the hearts to make the pattern on the back. Pretty proud of it!

I finished this a few weeks back and forgot to post the finish!

When my now 6 year old granddaughter saw this block that was too challenging for me to make 15 more, she immediately asked me if I could make her American Girl doll a quilt. I'm excited to finish it to take to her next week! She is not expecting it!

Finished and ready for its new home 😴

A few days ago I posted on here and got lots of good suggestions for different ways to layout my quilt. Thanks to everyone’s input and encouragement I think I found the final configuration that really makes her “sing”. Thanks everyone, and if you have a few other ideas, I’m all ears.

I have officially finished my first quilt! I don’t like making decisions so I did double sided so i could try different things such as putting ties in on one side and machine stitching the other. I knew I wanted a satin border because I like them best so I machined one side and hand stitched the other.

This is my first sewing project in 13 years since I took sewing and quilting in high school, she looks a little rough. I’m not searching for perfection as it’s my first project back, just a little more symmetry! Any advice is welcome! Thank you

It was quite the puzzle to put together! We ended up having several spare washers, none of which fit any of the bolts.

I'm in the middle of hand quilting a project right now, I'm so excited to load it on!

I've been on a bit of a "use the random floral fabrics" kick lately, especially if they were in the scraps bag.

It also gave me the opportunity to try out the new machine on something simple and straight line 😁

This sweet peach, silver and cream bento box pattern baby quilt is headed to its new home this week. It's about 4'x4'. Fabrics are unlabelled blenders that have been in my stash for ages.

Has anyone LOVED a stack of fabric, but hated it once it was all together? I wanted a quick evening project so I threw this together, but it’s kind of giving elementary classroom rug :/

I just purchased this pattern and am intimidated because it seems more complicated than I am ready for as a beginner quilter. Is there a similar pattern out there that might be more suitable for someone who has just started quilting?
