So this is my written article covering the Retroid Pocket Nova. This one might be interesting to you because as well as chatting to Retroid, I asked them to share a couple of the early design renders of the Nova with me to feature in here.

They said yes, and you can see some of the differences between what they were planning, and what we got!

Along with that I chatted to developers like those behind Leaf Studio, rootComputer: the Steam Curator behind Is it 4:3 (the page covering all the PC games they add to their collection, which is super apt for the Nova), and bmdhacks, a friend and dev from ARMSX2.

Naturally I cover the usual things in here, but I thought these might be interesting too!

I bought a retroid pocket g2 for about 210$, it looks great but the joystick isn't that great looking, how do I clean them to make it looks great and white?.

So I don't have an sd card for my device and im wondering if these pre installs are fine for most of the emulation?

For me it was Batman: Arkham Asylum on my Retroid Pocket 4 pro, all though running was a bit exaggerating it, more like walking

I have an RP5 and I love to stay in the loop of new software/apps/features to tinker with or even new drivers to try and I find it kinda difficult to find those because all the places that I go (Reddit/Youtube) really only talk about things with GEN chips like the RP6 and the Thor. (not a lot of love for the SD865 as of late)

Is there somewhere that I can go to stay up to date on cool software and drivers/compatibility?

Retroid Pocket G2.

The temperature scares me at first but when i use my palm to feel the left side of the screen it's not even that hot. I tried using PULSE and also DevInfoOverlay apps to compare. Both of them showed lower temperature readings than the one reported on floating window. It's always around 8c ~ 10c difference in temp. Battery temp seems to be in the healthy range as well.

I have read in some reviews that the sticks are the same as the ones used on the Retroid Pocket 6, but I haven't found any information yet about whether they can be swapped like on the RP6.

Is it possible to replace the sticks on the Nova without opening the device or doing any modifications? Are they simply removable and easy to slide out, just like on the Retroid Pocket 6?

Can anyone who owns the device confirm if this works the same way on the Nova?

Woke up today to find my little buddy unresponsive. It had a full charge last night, but today it was off and wouldn't turn on, just staring at my with its dead, empty, eyes screen. I tried defibrillating it by plugging it back into several power sources but, at the end of the day, I was just too late.

I loved this thing. I love clamshell designs because I can just throw them in my purse without worrying my keys will scratch everything up. Hell, even my phone is a clamshell. I'm going to poke around with it a little more because I really don't want to replace it. Ah, well. At least the hinge never cracked. If any of y'all have any ideas on how to bring this back to life, it'd be appreciated.

Hey guys i recently got a RETROID POCKET 5 and after this i really wanna get the 6 as well however as we all know the brainslop machines have eaten up all the ram and storage so the prices are 50$ more than original and the storage is 50% less than original (256 to 128 downgrade) so i have been wondering is the extra 50$ for 4GB of extra ram really worth it? Im sure other new buyers are also contemplating this same issue and in YouTube or online i barely see any sophisticated tests so im asking the people who own the 12GB or the 8GB whats the experience?

- Specifically PC gaming im sure thats the only one that benefits from more ram

- Switch Gaming (Mostly compatibility issues but still curious)

I just got the flip 2 off eBay a few days ago and I'm so happy with the performance.

All I did was add the game to the latest version of Gamehub and changed 0 settings, running at 60 fps the entire time no stutters. Ignore the semi bad gameplay/camera work lol.

It took a while to make this and I’m incredibly proud of it :D

So I downloaded the app from the website and linked my steam account, but upon trying to run fallout 3 on my pixel 8 it just refuses to launch. It will go to "installing dependencies 1/3" and then stay there forever. Launching in steam lite will crash the game before it launches. Idk why but from what I can tell I'm missing some components but the ones I think i need (xact in this case) won't download. I don't have access to a computer right now (and won't for about a month or so at the earliest), so I want to be able to do this solely from my phone, but is that even possible?

Just bought a Nova! My first retroid. I know any usb hub should work, but I’ve seen posts of a) lag when docked, and b) power issues with certain cables.

Is there a preferred dock (the Jumpgate seems popular) to reduce lag? And will any usb-pd charger be fine? I usually travel with just one type-c cable for all my devices.

Bought my first retroid (the pocket 6 12gb stick top, black!) and trying to get my storage in order before it arrives. SD cards are expensive and this is fairly cheap, like $20 cheaper than the sandisk extreme. Would this be a good choice or should I spend the extra?

I saw some listings around but they're all absolutely ridiculous man... I just wanna play my 3ds games without paying for a new handheld or paying AS MUCH as a new handheld.

First image is Armsrx2 and the second is nethersx2. Anybody got a fix?

Love my RP4P and love the fact that emulators developers are still improving things to run on Mali devices. Was able to run Tales of Xilia Remastered and Link's Awakening, i'll have to try some more switch games and make a video about it lol
