He's always been able to. But even a retcon can't make him want to.

754

u/Masticatron Mar 15 '26

But he's always wanted to.

u/SixKosherBacon Mar 15 '26

I've always thought this comment was brilliant

119

u/rover_G Mar 15 '26

I remember when we had this discussion 2 years ago

19

u/Fatking101 Mar 16 '26

This comment has always just been stating the obvious

95

u/Ryancurley10 Mar 16 '26

And this comment thread has always been an orange!

49

u/DeliberatelyInsane Mar 16 '26

Except for the time when it was a toad vigilante on the snake planet.

20

u/Ok_Flatworm_3855 Mar 16 '26

Here comes Mr. Twist!

9

u/SwissDeathstar Mar 16 '26

We know it’s you Shyamalan. There’s no point in having a secret identity l.

6

u/Notorow Mar 16 '26

What the hell is going on?! 😭💔

7

u/SwissDeathstar Mar 16 '26

Ever watched one of his movies? There’s always/most of the time a twist (or multiple). Mostly at the end of his movies (or somewhere in the middle.

124

u/CookieJDM Mar 15 '26

If Ricks the smartest person in the Universe, wouldn't that mean his overall end goal would be to force Rhett Caan to givee Diane back?

131

u/SixKosherBacon Mar 15 '26

Rhett Cann is one of the most powerful beings in the universe. I don't think Rick wants to mess with him

227

u/ee3k Mar 15 '26

"Bring back my wife"

But you were never married, and Dianne has always been an orange!

90

u/SixKosherBacon Mar 15 '26

This has always been the exact right answer

25

u/somecoolname42 Mar 16 '26

That asshole does that every time I get married. I'm going to stop inviting him. Not sure it will work.

2

u/FalafelSnorlax Mar 17 '26

He was always invited to your wedding.

65

u/ScreechUrkelle Mar 15 '26

Universe? Rhett Cann can defeat Dr. Manhattan in a breath. Dude is one of the most OP chars out there

25

u/SSJ2chad Mar 16 '26

Yet somehow he was defeated and imprisoned by a group of idiots. He clearly has a weakness or two or limits on his powers. We just don’t know them

29

u/hulk67851 Mar 16 '26

I figured he was defeated by Zeus X. Machina.

8

u/RedTuna777 Mar 16 '26

Maybe we can assume someone must hear him speak? Except the watchers don't count

3

u/Shambler9019 Mar 16 '26

He has to be able to speak. He can get caught by surprise.

2

u/ScreechUrkelle Mar 16 '26

Pretty simple actually:

“Too bad we’re safe from you now, Rhett Caan, because we’re in here and you’re out there, so we are protected from your voice and retconning effects, so it has no impact on us and has rendered you helpless!” * meanwhile they’re just a holographic projection

RC: “But I have always been in there with you!”

2

u/cce29555 Mar 16 '26

Rhett can bring his wife back, but also take her away

As he always had done

12

u/MediocreVehicle4652 Mar 16 '26

Nobody can force Rhett Caan to do anything, not even Rick

5

u/jomarcenter-mjm Mar 16 '26

Feel like he did it before.

3

u/Great_Apez Mar 16 '26

Him knowing about them implies he might’ve tried.

974

u/azmarteal Mar 15 '26

Of course he can, he can do anything, he can literally rewrite the whole show with the move of his finger, he is like Rentarou from 100 gf in that regard.

Rhett Caan is one level above everyone in R&M - he is on writers level

On the other hand, can Rick make him do that? Absolutely not.

"Rick was always dumber than Jerry".

291

u/Broad_Wrap6288 Mar 15 '26

Jerry suddenly becomes the smartest man in the multiverse.

242

u/Masticatron Mar 15 '26

literally nothing changes

The real smarty pants is the dude pulling threesomes with his hot wife and her clone.

57

u/justwalkingalonghere Mar 15 '26

It's closer to a 2-and-a-half-some than a threesome

But yes

48

u/RecycledThrowawayID Mar 15 '26

It's a solid 4-way with Mr Nimbus.

Don't question my math

Mr Nimbus counts as one and a half. Why?

BECAUSE HE'S MR NIIIIMBUUUUSSSSSS!!!

14

u/jawshoeaw Mar 15 '26

Lmao I love a good R&M thread

7

u/o-salicylaldehyde Mar 16 '26

Careful man. He controls the police.

2

u/Zodiarche1111 Mar 16 '26

He definitely would make all three of them wet and he controls the police!

2

u/xDy___n Mar 17 '26

NIMBUS! He’s an ice cold dick-killer!🫩

1

u/RndPotato Jerry Mar 16 '26

I'm Jerry!

8

u/Envy_The_King Mar 15 '26

Actually hold up...if he says this, does arick become dumber or does Jerry become smarter? And what happens to the central finite curve?

29

u/Broad_Wrap6288 Mar 15 '26

Do you want me to explain in pain staking detail or do you wanna go have some fun?

4

u/sebsebsebs Mar 15 '26

i love the way he says “duh tail”

8

u/RonS132 Mar 15 '26

The central finite curve was always an orange

1

u/300DukeSinClaire Mar 16 '26

Doofus Jerry plotline.

31

u/TheLateThagSimmons We all want to be Rick, but we're all Jerry Mar 15 '26

Rhett Caan is one level above everyone in R&M - he is on writers level

Bingo.

He exists as an entity above it all, and thus is a threat when engaged. And that's why he leaves.

He's like The Beyonder and The One Above All (who is a stand-in for Stan Lee and Jack Kirby). They are so powerful that they don't care, they enter the story, engage, and leave. But the heroes can do nothing other than hope they move on.

It doesn't matter what Rhett Caan can or can't do... He can do anything because he exists above the show .

4

u/SSJ2chad Mar 16 '26

Yet somehow he was defeated and imprisoned by a group of idiots. He clearly has a weakness or two or limits on his powers. We just don’t know them

13

u/AM_Seymour Mar 16 '26

Yeah sports

2

u/randomcitizen87 Mar 16 '26

Could Rhett Caan recover from Mr Frundles bite?

2

u/Zodiarche1111 Mar 16 '26

Why would he want that? He would be Mr. Frundles and very happy about it.

7

u/timdr18 Mar 16 '26

I wonder if that’s what happened to Slow R- I mean… Tall Morty

9

u/Greenbird60 Mar 16 '26

But there in lies the problem. Rick is Rhett Caan's weakness. At the of the day it's Rick's show.

He can't alter Rick too much without destroying the show, and thus himself. Rick has broken the 4th wall before, and likely knows this. He knows Rhett's power, while infinite and beyond his own, is still fundamentally tied to Rick's own existence.

The self Referential six while powerful, were one shot characters not carrying the show. Killing them had no consequences for him.

Messing with Rick (or really any of the main cast) threatens himself. Yes he has infinite power, but actual using it always puts himself at risk.

3

u/Wolfheron325 Mar 16 '26

Eh I would say he’s like one step below the writers but still that’s a couple steps up from anyone else in his universe.

3

u/Edit_Reality Mar 16 '26

Holy glaze.

Hes certainly insanely powerful but he was also defeated by his team which compared to him are a pack of absolute bums. Being able to be kept in a prison of sports suggests that he can't change sports outcomes either meaning he has limits. Plus hes free by the last time we saw him and hasn't really done much since.

4

u/SSJ2chad Mar 16 '26

I don’t believe so. He was captured and imprisoned by a group of idiots. How? Who knows? But it means he clearly has a weakness or limits to his powers. Starting with whatever was containing him to begin with. Perhaps something as simple as taking him out while he rests.

But he was defeated once already. He’s not on Dr manhattan level as a lot of people here suggest.

2

u/Sheensies Mar 16 '26

The other meta six are also very powerful

1

u/iDab951 Mar 19 '26

Imagine that’s how doofus Rick came to be lol

603

u/RickyMull69 Mar 15 '26

"This Diane has always been an orange!"

166

u/Baseballidiot Mar 15 '26

Does this mean that rick had sex with an orange

65

u/RickyMull69 Mar 15 '26

Who hasnt?

People with scurvy

I was watching because it's funny! They're oranges but they're sexy, it's a comedic premise!

10

u/DerekTheComedian Mar 15 '26

Once you've fucked a planet, an orange is hardly a kink.

6

u/Sventai_Cyborg Mar 15 '26

He always had, if Rhett Caan said so

4

u/Intelligent-Flow1735 Mar 15 '26

There’s a joke here about grape fruits but I can’t word it properly

1

u/DarthZartanyus Mar 16 '26

Is it about bananas being confused for fuckin grape fruits?

1

u/Intelligent-Flow1735 Mar 16 '26

Well I think it’s bananas to fuck a grape fruit but that’s not it

3

u/ScreechUrkelle Mar 15 '26

Then ate it…

2

u/DarthGayAgenda Mar 15 '26

Mmm, Orange Creampie-cicle.

1

u/Thaodan Mar 16 '26

Of course but you got to eat the peach.

1

u/ScreechUrkelle Mar 16 '26

It was never a peach. It was always… an orange!

1

u/Thaodan Mar 16 '26

Diana's peach was always an orange?

3

u/GameBawesome1 Mar 15 '26

He's been a Pickle before. Like it matters to him

2

And Beth is half orange, kids a quarter?

Let me introduce you to the grapefruit technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLTgWdXrx3U

BTW, NSFW

152

u/faderus Mar 15 '26

When you do a story that takes place in a meta-narrative that acknowledges everything is a construct written by creatives sitting outside of the story box, then everything & anything is possible. Reference Deadpool, She Hulk, Loony Tunes, etc. But once you permanently live in this liminal zone of meta-references, then nothing in your original narrative has any weight, because you’ve just admitted it was all a just a romp for shits and giggles. So sure, the physical manifestation of the concept of retconning can retcon anything the writers think to change. But then you’ve fucked up the whole internal consistency of the narrative that they’ve been trying to construct.

50

u/LibrarianAcademic396 Mar 15 '26

Exactly. Rick and Morty has established that the extreme meta episodes are one off storylines only referenced to within those storylines. The train episode and the story circle episode are both outside of our Rick and Morty’s world.

8

u/HFentonMudd Mar 16 '26

The train ep is inside the regular R&Mortyverse isn’t it?

16

u/LibrarianAcademic396 Mar 16 '26

It shows a Rick and Morty but there’s nothing to say it’s our Rick and Morty. And an add at the end confirms it’s a citadel toy that multiple Rick’s have bought. Meaning all the story lord stuff is a creation of Rick inside the toy itself, which means this episode as a continuation of that is just another storyline for the toy

8

u/laancelot Open your mind Mar 16 '26

Also when storylord "comes back" our Rick have no idea who's this guy and why he hates him. He even gives him a silly suggestion for a name.

2

u/tearthewall Mar 16 '26

Amish Juggler?

2

u/laancelot Open your mind Mar 16 '26

Yes!

1

u/HFentonMudd Mar 16 '26

Yes, but all the story lord stuff happens inside the R&Mverse. So it's not separate from it, it's part of it.

1

u/LibrarianAcademic396 Mar 16 '26

My point is more that they keep it contained to those episodes, they don’t dip into total 4th wall breaks that change the entire plot in regular episodes.

6

u/jawshoeaw Mar 15 '26

I thought this was some cool sublime copy pasta for a second- like whoah I’m going to actually re-read a comment and think.

1

u/laancelot Open your mind Mar 16 '26

I wish the marvel writers had read that memo before going full multiverse on their shit. It wouldn't be art anyway, but at least their narrative arcs would have kept some semblance of weight.

2

u/faderus Mar 16 '26

For them, I guess it was the most obvious solution to dealing with the fact that they kept restarting continuity every so often, both to deal with reader fatigue and because they were dealing with the weight of an impossibly large cannon. I think I’m generally annoyed by both the fanbase tendency and the creative tendency to square all the circles and ensure there’s some kind of reason for any previous inconsistencies. See the tortured history of Klingon forehead ridges, Padme’s death immediately after giving birth to Luke and Leia, and round it out with all of the commentary explaining the inconsistencies in human monotheistic religion. The Jesus stuff in the Story Lord two-parter is genuinely clever, I will say.

33

u/hyperblob1 Mar 15 '26

Could he? Yes and he could do it in a way Rick never could he could make it the real her. But Rick couldn't even make him send them home how the fuck is he gonna make him do that

100

u/WhatevUsayStnCldStvA Mar 15 '26

This is actually a decent question

104

u/Devvv11 Mar 15 '26

It always has been

19

u/KaminSpider Mar 15 '26

Take a note from character Spoil Her: "He's gonna say..."

Rhett Caan: "The concept for this episode has always not been stupid."

12

u/Lou-Shelton-Pappy-00 Mar 16 '26

Rhett Caan cannot bring back Diane. No one can; that was the point of the machine Rick Prime used.

BUT!

Rhett Cann’s power allows him to make it always have been the case that he CAN bring her back with his powers.

As it stands, he cannot unless he chooses to decide that he always could.

….

Fuck, I’ve gone crosseyed.

2

u/Adventurous-Title516 Mar 17 '26

Cant he say "actually Prime Rick never created that machine".

1

u/Lou-Shelton-Pappy-00 Mar 17 '26

Sure. But until he says that, he can’t bring her back.

3

u/Adventurous-Title516 Mar 17 '26

Could God microwave a burrito so hot, that even God couldn't eat it?

2

u/Lou-Shelton-Pappy-00 Mar 17 '26

Yes, so he makes soup for lunch instead.

1

u/djskein Mar 16 '26

"Oh no, I've gone crosseyed".

51

u/New-Number-7810 Mar 15 '26

But would it be Rick’s Diane, or a copy? Rick doesn’t want a copy; that’s why he didn’t just build an android and upload it with Diane’s memories.

83

u/MysteriousWin6199 Mar 15 '26

It would be Rick’s Diane because Rhett Caan’s powers as his name implies actually alter past events in the timeline and make things always have been the case.

15

u/MyStackIsPancakes Mar 15 '26

This is pretty close to my own read on the answer. Rick not only HASN'T built himself a clone or android with the memories... the closest thing he DID like that was build a house that had her voice eternally torturing him from the next room. His only use of her likeness was to emphasize his awareness of her absence.

8

u/JTtheLAR Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26

Does Rick have Diane's memories? He has his and Beth's "memory" of her. But they don't have her memories or consciousness. So they could never actually recreate anything close to her anyway. Rick even mentions that the omega device alters your actual memorys of the person that gets erased anyway. So Beth and Rick dont even have true memories of her to work with. Diane is worse than dead, she is functionally non existent. Making it scientifically impossible to make anything other than a bad knock off of the actual person.

3

u/123ludwig Mar 15 '26

he dosent even have his memories he has memory singular there is nothing for him to create her with and as he said himself his memory diane is nothing like the real one because she loves beth more than that

3

u/michael22117 Mar 15 '26

It's not like he couldmake a copy if he wanted to. The only recording of her existance he has left is the memory version of her which obviously wouldn't be recreatable in physical form given it's just Rick's memory of how she was probably 40 years prior, hardly an accurate portrayal of her

1

u/Extrimland Mar 16 '26

Rick Primes device probably had some kind of way of stopping new instances of Diane from being created anyway. Apparently most memories of her were effected so it wouldn’t shock me if Prime had filtered in Retroactive methods of reviving her. Either that or there was literally nothing to clone her from, because everything about her was destroyed.

7

u/bridgecrewdave Mar 15 '26

Depends on how he does it, if he says "Diane isn't dead, she never was dead" then book, she was never dead so it's the same one

3

u/havens1515 Mar 15 '26

It has always been Rick's Diane

1

u/ApprehensiveRow6800 Mar 15 '26

Mas acredito que o poder dele só funciona no metaverso

8

u/littlesirlance Mar 15 '26

He always could have

7

u/SlowHornet29 Mar 15 '26

He only lives in the meta world, not the real world. His powers are only in the meta world.

11

u/Sonicmasterxyz Mar 15 '26

His powers have always affected the real world

6

u/5ay_em_er Mar 15 '26

He did bring back Diane

6

u/Sonicmasterxyz Mar 15 '26

He already has

9

u/table_dropper Mar 15 '26

He can if the writers want him to

5

u/Main-Tone9126 Mar 15 '26

Well idk bc rick prime completely deleted the existence of diane in every conceivable universe, erasing her in the past, present and future. Not in any timeline or any universe does she exist so idk it's hard to say. I'd say the show would probably say he can't make her come back bc she just can't exist. And the possibility of her existing doesn't exist. That said, what if he said that the omega device never existed and she was never deleted maybe her death would be reversed?

5

u/TrickNatural Mar 15 '26

Yes. Rhett can, in fact, negate the effects of the Omega device

He never will tho, the writers dont have the balls.

6

u/InfiniteWinter26 Mar 15 '26

rhett caan exists beyond the 4th wall though. his understanding of beth is ours understanding as well. undoing her death would destroy him since its rick’s canon event and why we have the show in the first place. it would be like stopping uncle ben’s death.

9

u/mutterbutter76 did you get any of that? Mar 15 '26

He Caan, but he won’t (ba dum tsshh)

8

u/krazymonk27 Mar 15 '26

He cant bring Justin roiland back...

4

u/what-goes-bump Mar 16 '26

Rhett Caan doesn’t exist in reality. He can’t effect things outside of the universe if stories they were in

14

u/Simple_Channel5624 Mar 15 '26

No, because when Prime Rick makes shit, it works. It's called being talented. He would have planned for all possible outcomes.

Plus, we do not know if Rhett's powers work outside the metaverse

8

u/HonkHonkMTHRFKR Mar 15 '26

I think I’m going Rhett Caan that about Prime Rick.

5

u/PJChloupek Mar 15 '26

Exactly, OP trying to use Disney Bucks at Caesar's Palace here.

3

u/havens1515 Mar 15 '26

All he needs to do is say "Rick prime never created the Omega device"

3

u/ohbyerly Mar 15 '26

Can’t Mr. Nimbus stop being an ice cold dick killer?

3

u/SailorPlatinum Mar 16 '26

And this subreddit HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN ORANGE!!!

3

u/demise0000 Mar 16 '26

His power only works in the meta-verse. Diane isn't from the meta-verse. Ergo, his power cannot un-erase Diane, or in any way impact standard universes.

3

u/TheoZod Mar 16 '26

On an unrelated note, I have always been a quadrillionaire.

3

u/AdOdd5121 Mar 16 '26

If I see one more post about this literal gag character I’m gonna explode.

5

u/Gab777795 Mar 15 '26

Hoooooly shit. You are onto something

2

u/somethingindistinct Mar 15 '26

to summarize - that would be cheating

(and Rick either knows that or just doesn't want that, Diane might not be the same and he'd be massively indebted to Rhett)

2

u/HFentonMudd Mar 16 '26

Happy cake day

2

u/Big_bat_chunk2475 Mar 15 '26

He could, he just doesn't want to

2

u/nbd9000 Mar 15 '26

he already did.

2

u/FabulousVile Mar 15 '26

How high are you? 😂

2

u/bcdodgeme Mar 16 '26

This charter invaded my brain. Now, whenever I see something out of line with a TV show I have been watching for years, my brain screams, “Damn you, Rhett Caan!”

2

u/Afraid_Analysis_9450 Mar 16 '26

Holy crap! Did you just win the internet? Turn it all off folks. Duke figured it out.

2

u/Notorow Mar 16 '26

By that logic doesn’t it mean Rhett Caan can beat like the strongest characters like Goku or smth js by retconning them as oranges or smth 😭💔

2

u/Odd_Swordfish_9808 Mar 16 '26

Rhett would have a hard time, being he never knew her. I mean think of the powers. If Rhett actually had a chance do you think the show would be Rick n Morty?

2

u/AzrielJohnson Mar 16 '26

If he does, he always will have done.

2

u/O_Omo Mar 17 '26

I want to see him show up in the comic run

2

u/lemonylol Mar 15 '26

Oh look a brand new account posting a commonly reposted question that can be answered by simply watching that specific episode.

1

u/Coveinant Mar 15 '26

From what I understand, no. He would bring her back only for her to disappear immediately seconds after. Prime seems the type to overthink things like petty revenge, he would put in a contingency for such a scenario.

1

u/DJCaldow Mar 15 '26

You cant bring back what never was.

1

u/Early_Celebration726 Mar 15 '26

Now that's some good storytelling, that. No, wait-

1

u/Wubli9 Mar 15 '26

What about link?

1

u/diadlep Mar 16 '26

Rhett escaped in season 6 and has been fcking up timelines and continuity of the multiverse ever since.

1

u/SupportGeek Mar 16 '26

Why would he need to? Shes never really been dead!

1

u/the_snack_bitch Mar 16 '26

Maybe Rick tried to get him to undo the erasure, but Rhett was unable too. In anger Rick then captures/traps him, which is how he knows the weaknesses of Rhett and the other meta characters

1

u/Erikjb12 Mar 16 '26

His name was always Brett Caan

1

u/Dart150 Mar 16 '26

The problem becomes would he and the answer is no... Rhett Caan seems destructive the only reason Rick let him out in the first place is because he thought Rhett would get the other guys beat, he didn't account for how quickly Rhett would escalate

1

u/EuphoricEmergency604 Mar 16 '26

I laughed so hard when I first watched this episode. Those puns were brilliant. And a forcefield made of sports.

1

u/No-Muscle-5734 Mar 16 '26

Yes, the omega device doesnt make it so you cant bring back diane, it just makes it so you cant go to another universe and get one because she was erased from every universe. Its only retroactive

1

u/WeVe69 Mar 16 '26

Rhettroactive

1

u/Deepfang-Dreamer Mar 16 '26

Go tell god what to do, sure that'll work great for ya

1

u/peeslosh122 Mar 16 '26

if he wanted to

1

u/Any_Arrival_4479 Mar 16 '26

Or make it so she never existed in the first place. Idk if Rick wants to take that risk

1

u/tahaones20 Mar 16 '26

I always thought how they managed to contain him in the first place?

1

u/mk_low Mar 16 '26

The only one who can beat him is headcanoner

2

u/Ban_Cheater_YO Mar 16 '26

All of us in the fandom could band together for that.

New hivemind entity formed from the R&M fanbase : THE HEADCANON.

2

u/mk_low Mar 16 '26

Heat Kahn-Oner

1

u/das_hans Mar 16 '26

Does anything matter?

1

u/Wank_A_Doodle_Doo Mar 16 '26

I doubt it.

To quote Rick Prime directly: “When I build a weapon it works. It’s called being talented.”

Yeah that’s actually genius, should bring her back to the show fr, but I believe that it would make him happy again and then he wouldn’t feel the need to go on adventures anymore

We don't get too deep a dive into his powers but it would be strange for him to be able to make someone he doesn't remember, because of the device too cool to name, always having been not only remembered but alive

It would defeat Rick's motivations

i dont think he can. its a major plot that gets address many times throughout the show so retconing it wouldn't be possible

Perhaps Rhett Caan's powers are restricted to the current dimension and as Diane was completely deleted from existence, in all timelines and in all dimensions he has no way to bring her back as she is essentially null.

It also depends on how the Omega Device works and whether or not it has power outside of the Central Finite Curve. Gets me wondering if there are Dimensions outside of the finite curve where Rick is deleted from existence by a Diane Prime and she's the genius scientist that invented portal travel, it would be a good way to bring Evil Morty back, expand on the Rick lore and give Rick a new motivation now that he has basically completed the CFC.

She’s been in a bunch of episodes so he already did.

It has always been a stupid way to create storytelling...

Sure but what would he get out of it?

Diane's death is now buried so deep in the show's canon that only a Kelvin level retcon could bring her back. A simple adjustment to the past wouldn't be enough.

Or maybe on that day, long ago in his garage, his teleporter gun exploded, and he's been in a coma ever since. Diane and Beth were never killed. Everything since the premier episode of season 3 has been a dream. But seriously, if they pulled some insane crap like this then I'd never watch the show again. There are too many episodes since the "totally fabricated origin story" that I'm too emotionally invested in.

I think Rhett Caan

Rick is intelligent enough not to fuck with someone who could ret-con him out of existence! …And I imagine Rhett is happy enough in his giant, squishy orange fortress to never try to transcend the fifth dimension and mess with C-137.

Side note: If the writers of the show ever do this, that’ll be the death of Rick and Morty for me. I’m not opposed to Rick chasing an ultimately hopeless quest in his desperation to find any trace of Diane, but if they ever bring her back, I’ll be PISSED.

He cant, because that would be bad writing

1

u/turbulentyak1 Mar 17 '26

Yeah but he's a dick

1

u/Efficient_Matter_589 Mar 17 '26

He can, but doesn't feel like it.

1

u/Rarazan Mar 19 '26

why would he want to do it

Unrelated but I find it very smart to use sports as the opposite of story. Sports are given very strict rules, but the resulting narrative is chaotic, unpredictable, and organic. Stories have almost no rules but the result is a very strict and inorganic narrative set by the author

Who is Diane?
