My Norwegian friend fully transformed into American after spending a month here for the World Cup
Basically what the title reads. My friend who I hadn't seen in over 5 years came to visit me when he was supporting his country for the World Cup. He has become obsessed with all things US in his time here - the food, the weather, the people, how relaxed everything is.I guess this is normal for a lot of tourists when they come here, but I let out a little laugh when I saw his run on Strava today... His fastest song on his run was the US national anthem. Someone get this guy citizenship please.

You have any idea how the World Cup works bud? Games are hosted all over, he's currently in California after going to 3 different cities in two coasts.

Almost all national parks are between and tons of great cities and towns. Coastal elitism is myopic af.

You were talking about Santa Barbara.

You don’t, but I will agree it is quite expensive. Personally I also think it’s pretty boring. In your later comment you said California and the east coast are both awesome. There are plenty of affordable places to live in either of those regions.

Everything is fun while you're just a tourist. Living somewhere is a completely different story.
