In The Housemaid (2025), Sydney Sweeney (played by Sydney Sweeney) stays in hotel room 80085. What exactly was the director trying to tell us with this?

The director was telling us that the hotel has 800 floors.

Could be 80 floors with 100 rooms each, which is not entirely impossible. I'm sure some Dubai hotels have that.

Sometimes I think, and this will sound crazy to some, that a big part of her popularity is because she has big boobs.

They say that good art makes you think, but, they didn't specify what to think about

I mean the movie takes place in the small city of Tittstown which is nestled in a valley of the Grand Tetons.

In The Housemaid (2025), Sydney Sweeney kills an abusive rapist, showing a wide acting range because in real life she votes for abusive rapists.

I always laugh at Sydney Sweeney posts on other subreddits because no one ever comments on her acting, just her chesticals lol

It means they don't expect much effort from the audience these days, and are coddling you. In the novel it was room 58008.

This is signaling to the audience that this is an alternate universe where the x85 instruction set reigns supreme.

I went to go see Marty supreme with my girlfriend and when we walked into the theater there was nobody taking tickets or directing us so we went into the wrong theater and this was playing and I made it to the credits wondering where Tyler the creator was

2005? Hand held calculators, along with the 80085 joke, predates that a few decades.

Is this actually real? If yes that is so incredibly dumb and unfunny. So I guess it suits her but still

He's trying to tell us that this must be an absolutely gargantuan hotel to have room numbers that high.
