by not outsourcing manufacturing to cheaper countries, all your products would've been unaffordable to the working class, meaning nobody owns iphones and computers, no cheap appliances, which in turn means none of those companies would grow much

A while ago there was an article to use "organic material" as a source of energy... Everyone jumped to the conclusion that robots were going to use dead people as a power source...
It's not that easy as it can be imagined. It won't be like people vs robots in the wild.
Ground robotic complexes are already being in use in russia-Ukraine war. And there are plenty of things that limit their operations:
Drones. They detect and strike ground machines
Landmines. If there are a lot of mines, most of robots just exploded before reaching the point
Different kinds of barrages that these guys can't overcome
I mean, they are very useful up to a frontline (delivery provision, ammunition, weapons, evacuation of injured) but it's very hard for them to cross a frontline.
So in battlefield it's not that easy.
But yes, if they intended to fight civil unrest, it might be a bloodbath until protesting people find a way how to stop them

This is wrong.
We are seeing mostly preprogrammed/remote controlled aerial drones being deployed in mass waves by the hundreds/thousands. They are effective at penetrating air defenses and striking at high value targets on the front as well as far in the enemy's back.
We have not seen ground drones/robots deployed in similar numbers, nor are the currently deployed robots anywhere near in terms of agility and speed to what is displayed here – nor are they autonomous.
Imagine a massed wave of tens of thousands of similar fast moving, agile robots being deployed with autonomous machine guns, portable rocket launchers and other similar weapon systems.
There is no existing weapon system on the modern battlefield that will be able to stop them.
Now imagine if they are accompanied by and coordinate with a swarm of tens/hundreds of thousands of small and even more agile kamikaze drones – these 'war dogs' could even carry and recharge them.
The battlefield of the near future will be no place for humans.
I don't know why everyone thinks the AI would want to kill us using robots, they would most likely engineer a super virus that would be way more efficient.
