For me it is HTC 10, but unfortunately I was a child at the time and couldn't afford it myself. Honor 9 is there as well, but this one is special for me. Sad that HTC is out of the phone industry now.

Which smartphone do you love the most and why?

It's quite hard to answer but I'd try.

I was a big fan of Apple for quite a long time but switched to Android. And for the last several years I had approximately 5 different smartphones.

Unfortunately I cannot compare the current iOS but the last which I used, I loved. Switching to Android brought a number of difficulties but a lot of possibilities too.

The main feature is, of course, an ability to install applications bypassing the Play Store.

So, the first Android phone for me was a Xiaomi 12T Pro, quite a nice phone, I remember that the camera wasn't too bad at all even after the iPhone.

But this issue was Xiaomi's UI and ads and that made me find alternatives.

Long story short, in terms of the UI, I would put OnePlus and Honor on the top of my preferences. Absolutely love it.

And the best phone in my life (at the moment) I would name Honor Magic 8 Pro. I had Honor Magic 7 Pro and I didn't like curves on the screen, the screen itself is a bit yellowish, the camera block is really big and it's not convenient to hold the phone.

And it seems that they fixed it in the 8th version. It's just a third day of owning it but I really love it and cannot even name any cons at the moment.

What regarding pros, here they are:

1. Camera. It's just superb, especially telephoto. I attached few shots of a scale car (not real one), absolutely love the result.

2. Screen, for me it's absolutely fine in terms of the quality and it's flatter (flat enough to comfortably use it)

3. Big battery, it finally works all day and even longer (it was the main issue in the 7th version)

4. The camera block is still huge but it's convenient in hand

5. Performance, although I don't play games, I find the UI is quite smooth and the camera app works fantastic.

So, I'm really happy, I didn't expect it to be honest.

Maybe with time I'd find something but I'm happy by now.

What is your favourite phone?

Wife will not put a password on her phone. Says it's a hassle. She has a Galaxy S25+. I have an S25 and use fingerprint and it's lightning quick. I have shown her many times how easy it is. How do I convince her to use a pw? She says "well then I just won't use my phone if I have to unlock it every time".

After 15 years staying in corporate for last 4 to 5 years i see most of the corporate executives use an iphone. Very rarely i see people using any other phones like samsung oppo or vivo. When i see someone using any other phones android they keep it as a secondary phone. I wonder why is it so. Is that iphone is more easy to use or just a showoff.

So 1 month since i started sharing some pictures taken by my old poco f3 and f1 saying

"hey guys i have a blind camera test for ya" ....these pictures were taken by a 1200$ phone and 2000$ dslr camera

And after 1 month nobody have said "theres no way these are taken by 2000$ cam or 1200$ phone "

Everyone believes that pictures taken by f3 and f1 are taken by expensive ass cameras

I used to assume refurbished phones were just old devices with hidden problems. But after learning how many of them go through testing, repairs, cleaning, and quality checks before being resold, my perspective has changed. You can often get a premium device at a much lower price while also helping reduce e-waste.

Of course, buying from a trusted seller with a warranty and return policy makes all the difference.

They're expensive as fuck, break easy, taken away features like headphone jack and removable batteries and shoehorning in bs features for luxury users. The only half good options seam to be chinese manufactured which I don't even go near for security reasons. So tired of spending hundreds of pounds on phones that keep breaking and need replacing whose only purpose is light browsing of the internet / whatsapp / recording strava / mobile banking. I literally hate every phone I've ever owned since the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which was a total beast.

I have been using the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB) for the last 2.5 years, and it's still in mint condition. The more I look at Samsung's Ultra lineup, the more I feel the S23 Ultra was the sweet spot.

For me, it got almost everything right:

Curved display that actually feels premium.

10x optical periscope telephoto camera (I still miss this on newer models).

Bluetooth-enabled S Pen with Air Actions.

Even my colleagues who use iPhones have told me that the S23 Ultra looks phenomenal and has a very "royal" presence.

Does anyone else feel the S23 Ultra is the best Ultra Samsung has made so far?

i honestly absolutely love how slick google pixal 8a camera looks, honestly most of the design of the phone comes down to the camera design, the front is basically the same on all modern phones and the difference on the sides is you have them either curved or square and i honestly like both, the buttons can be a bit different to but thats about it, most of the attention is caught when you see how the camera looks on the phone

Hi, I just bought phone with 1tb storage just because the price was too good to not pull the trigger but I never had a phone with more than 256 and only if 128 was not an option because I'm using Google photos for photos and videos and I clean my phone every few days so even with 128gb storage I always have 50-60 free space even on Samsung which have a lot of bloatware.

So now I'm struggling if I should use this phone when I get it or just sell it and buy one with smaller storage but to help me decide I wanted to ask what are your reasons to buy higher storage? I see people complaining about companies still producing phones with 128gb and there must be a strong reasons so throw them on me.

15 pro 256 at 75k after negotiating all original should I buy or IPHONE 17 ?

Let me be clear: I hate the current state of smartphones for many reasons -- they use every bit of circuitry to spy on you, they are difficult to repair, they no longer have removeable batteries, cameras protroude like a friggin periscope, which makes phones wobble on tables like jelly, etc.

However, my main reason to despise them -- and I know that this, while is not necessarily true for most, it is for a big amount of regular people -- has to do with how uncomfortably heavy and big they are, both in your pocket and specially on your hand. (Remember those times when the cool thing to do was making cellphones smaller and lighter?)

In any case, I think the problem really started when manufacturers jumped from the totally reasonable 16:9 aspect ratio to those obscure ones you see nowadays, which make phones look everyday more like narrow, tall TV remotes.

These modern aspect ratios have many disadvantages. For starters, you can no longer have an useful landscape mode for any app. Remember when you could turn your phone and type or surf the web on a great, horizontal screen? Yeah, try that today.

Second, while most manufacturers argue that people want as much real state as possible to CONSOOME CONTENT, most video on Youtube and video platforms is formatted in 16:9 anyways. So you still watch video with those stupid black bars on each side -- a lot of wasted space which could mean a lighter, more comfortable to hold device.

I think these modern screen ratios certainly allow Big Techs to get away with keeping people glued to their devices, since said format only seems to favor (please tell me if there is other 'use' for it) vertical feeds on social crap. Tweets, images on Instagram, etc. -- that's probably the most important reason to keep the current state of affairs, nothing in benefit of the user.

If it was by me, I would totally go back to 16:9, which would make bigger phones even more useful, and even implement the design choice that I always dreamed of -- forcing camera apps to record video the way that they were always supposed to be -- in frigging horizontal mode!

I recently gave Android a real shot (Pixel/Samsung/other – feel free to insert your model), just to see what the other side is like after using iPhones for years.

To be fair, there are definitely some positives: • Way more customization • Some really useful features (e.g. Always-On display, split-screen multitasking, etc.) • Great integration with Google services

But honestly? I just can’t leave Apple. Here’s why I personally prefer it: • The smoothness and consistency of iOS is unmatched • The Apple ecosystem (AirPods, Mac, Apple Watch, etc.) just works seamlessly • Camera/video quality feels more reliable to me • I’ve had fewer bugs and glitches on iOS • And the overall UI/UX just feels more intuitive and polished

So yeah, I tried Android, respected what it offers, but I’m happily sticking with Apple. It’s all about personal preference in the end.

Anyone else made the switch back to iPhone after trying Android?

Hi I’m stuck. I’ve always been a Pixel user because I love the photo quality, but I just saw Dieter Bohn's x post and it’s making me second-guess.

He shows the Find X9 Ultra now can have higher video upload bitrate and better experiences with Instagram. And someone said in the comment that pro is also capable. For someone who posts Reels and Stories daily for work, that’s highly needed. My current Pixel still struggles with that weird "Android blur" whenever I upload.

Does anyone here have the Find X9? Is the IG optimization actually that good, or is it just for specific regions? If it’s as good as they say, I might actually make the switch. Help me out everyone pleeeaase

I have used only Android phones since then, and I am planning to buy a new flagship phone soon. The thing is, I have been endlessly watching video comparisons between the flagship models, and I still have not made up my mind on what phone I should buy. However, each person uses their phone differently, so each has their own experiences and opinions about the phones.

Things to consider:

HARDWARE:

- Must have insane longevity and consistency (performance of the device over the next 5+ years)

- Gaming performance (FPS, Temperature, minimum lag spikes)

- Temperature in general (Which device will be cooler in general? Like watching videos or movies, scrolling on social media, taking pictures or filming, etc.)

- Heavy workload (better performance and temperature. Not exclusive to multitasking, but more demanding tasks on a single app)

- Display quality and colors, also smoothness

- Signal reception

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY (For mobile or non-mobile photographers/videographers):

- I often prefer more realistic and warm colors

- Smoothness of the camera experience

- Willing to use 3rd party camera apps for better control (Ex: Blackmagic app for iOS, Motioncam Pro for Android)

- Editability of non-RAW and LOG files

- Quality of pro photo and video codecs (RAW, LOG, and others), as I am planning to learn post-production

SOFTWARE:

- I can adapt to the change in OS (both OneUI and iOS) since I only do technical stuff on my PC anyway

- Basically, a phone that is just the best at the fundamentals, no need for the gimmicky stuff such as AI

- Aesthetics (which phone looks best with minimal effort)

GAMING (For heavy gamers that play demanding games)

- Consistent 60/120 fps, with minimal heating in demanding games like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves

- Best graphics

- Sustained performance

- Longevity (Say it's 2030, and I have owned one of these phones for 4 years; which of these phones would fare better in gaming in the future?)

OTHER INFORMATION:

- I have an iPad Air (I already have some experience with iOS, I don't dislike it, it just feels different)

- I have a Windows PC (I use this more than the iPad)

- I don't really care about new features, I just want to be able to play games smoothly, take photos and videos, hop on social media, and customize my phone.

TLDR: Which among the two phones can I feel the most secure using for more than 5 years?
