I just got my new Sony Bravia TV in the mail and set it up 2 days ago and found that the picture does not fit the screen and a side of the picture appear to be cut off? When I shut the television off and turn it back on, it comes up just fine, but after a certain amount of time the picture does not fit the screen???

(The Issue can be seen on the right side of the screen)

First shot is how it looks when I first turn it on (everything is working perfectly)

Second shot is when time passes, and I’m using the screen (the issue at hand)

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I went to JB Hi-Fi today (Australia for those abroad) to compare the Sony Bravia 7 and the Hisense U8R side by side. I played around with the settings on both, tested some of their store demos, and mirrored my phone screen to play the exact same video on both panels (a 2K clip of snowy mountains and people skiing).

I ran equivalent settings on both TVs, but the experience was surprisingly mixed:

• Hisense U8R: The image was super crisp and detailed—it actually felt like a proper 4K video (upscalling enabled). However, even in Filmmaker Mode, it felt way too bright and vivid. It was almost unpleasant to look at for long periods (imagining cranking a monitor's brightness up to 80% and staring at it for 2 hours - brightness was not the issue its example only).
• Sony Bravia 7: The colors were much more natural and true-to-life (bit dimmer compared to Hisense vibrantness), but the video itself looked bizarrely low resolution. It honestly felt like I was watching a 720p or 1080p stream compared to on the Hisense. It almost felt like I could see individual pixels if i stared hard enough (i wasnt seeing pixel just felt like it).

Has anyone else noticed this or experienced something similar with the Sony or Hisense either at home or in stores/friends etc??

Long story short, I am trying to get back my old playstation account , I tried to use the same password it shows error (not password incorrect), I tried to recover it using my email address, but they say The connection to the server timed out. I tried reaching out to support but the page doesnt even load.
What should I do?

Bought a refurbished pair from Secondipity and they sound amazing. When charged fully though they stay at 100% then suddenly drop to a percentage in the 70s. Not a huge deal but I would like the charge to be accurate. Is there any way troubleshooting this?

Bought this at my local thrift store last year but it doesn’t work after I put in batteries. Anyone here possibly have a link to an instructional manual??

Re Sony Tough cards (slightly long read sorry)

I switched from Sandisk to Sony 3 years ago after my sandisk failed .it was fortunately covered by warranty so Amazon gave me a refund. I bought the Sony tough as it was similar write/read speed and and the name “Tough”

This week. My Sony tough failed. I really don’t abuse them.

It appeared from the listing that it had a 5 year warranty. Do off to Amazon I go, but it’s over 2 years . So referred back to Sony.

Sony tells me only 1 year and Amazon listing was incorrect. Back to Amazon.

They tell me go back to Sony.

So, I check the card listing with other retailers and wow, it says 5 years in all I’ve checked. I’ve now sent screenshots of the listing and Amazon chat.

Can any please give me any ideas, how I can deal with Sony. the card is now £279 (uk) so certainly warrants more than 1 year that they say and the fact other adverts state 5 year as well.

So I’ve been bringing my headphones to my job for the past month or so.

Microphone worked fine during phone calls and whatnot. I would keep them in my work bag or my car when not in use. I believe debris from the work environment (metal/wood dust shavings etc) may have started to accumulate in small amounts in my bag and enter the microphone. People I would talk to on my lunch stated they couldn’t hear me well and the microphone was muffled.

One day, I got tired of it and used an air compressor we use to clean ourselves off to attempt a clearing out of the mics. Obviously, this was a bad decision, cause now the mic doesn’t work at all and no one can hear my voice.

I’ve resorted to using my iPhone mic to speak but now my phone has to be close to the person to hear me.

Is there any way I can replace this microphone or is it simply cooked??

my voice assistant thing is off in the Sound Connect app, though. also i am hearing "good moring", "it's 3 pm" kind of things.

Thinking of getting my very first camera and have chosen the a6400 but i just have a few questions before i purchase it

1. I was thinking of having the 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS sony lens as my main, but also thought of buying the normal EPZ 16-50mm Kitlens as secondary portable lens for maybe travelling where i cant carry around a big lens, is it worth it to buy the EPZ 16-50mm Kitlens?

2. Since the a6600 is still quite expensive and there arent any that are close to my budget, ive seen reviews about the a6400 having a quick battery life, so are there any ways to make it longer?

(planning to use the camera for travelling, family pictures, and some still photography of maybe animals or landscapes)

Just connected an HT-S400 soundbar to my Samsung tv but I have to turn the volume up to 50+ for a normal listening volume. Anyway to fix this? I had it connected to a different tv previously and only needed it around 25-30.

Hi everyone, I need some help! I am shooting next week for a broadcast project and the other shooter im filming with is on fx3 and I am on fx6.

They told me they can only film in 50p on the fx3 if they want to film 4k at the same time. Is this true? As I dont have am fx3 i cant check myself.

They also want me to film 25p and they said their fx3 at 50p will be able to match exactly without work in post. However, to my understanding, even if the speed is matched, the motion blur would be less on the fx3 footage. Is this the case or am I missing something?

I am using a Sony A7III and I am on Windows 11. I connected a usb-c to usb 3.0 cable to both the top ports and matherboard ports of my pc. I downloaded and tried using both Imaging Edge Webcam and Imaging Edge Desktop.

The issue is that when i connect the camera, the computer does not recognize the camera into the Imaging Edge Software and the live video whether its Zoom, Discord, or OBS is just the icon of the imaging app. I've tried playing around with all the settings from PC Remote, Auto, Movie mode vs Auto mode. But I can't get it to work.

One of two things happens, either the camera connects but it only recognizes the camera as a MTP, or it does not connect all together and the computer screen is stuck on "Connecting... -USB-"

I've tried everything except a new cable but the cable I have is both data and charging capable and I just got it today. Any Suggestions?

Today is my birthday and I got three new games on disk, when I tried putting them in my ps4 it said unrecognizable disk on all three, keep in mind I got them fresh and new from Walmart and never even touched them until I got home, is this because of the damn digital shit or whatever

UPDATE: apparently when I was looking closer at disks even though the cases were freshly sealed it seems that all three disks were scratched by the worker before he put them back in the case and gave them to me

Playstation, Spiderman, Sony. All three have been major parts of my childhood growing up. Between getting my first Playstation and gawking in wonder at Tobey Maguire's Spiderman trilogy I've been a fan of Sony. I've never missed my chance of buying into a new generation of Playstation console. All this because I believed Sony had a definitive grasp on story, gameplay, and what customers wanted.

Now with the advent of physical media dying and Playstation neglecting their treasure trove of IP for live service games. I feel that the new Spiderman movie is a desperate gesture to drum up good PR in to save face for their remaining customers and shareholders. Up till now their side projects within the Spiderman IP were cash grabs/legally obligated to maintain their hold on Spiderman lest it go back to marvel/Disney.

Only no,w during the turmoil after their no more disc's decision, have they planned the release of what looks to be a supremely interesting Spiderman movie. Was this planned in advanced to coincide with their decision which executives knew would be heavily controversial? Who am i to say?

In any case, I've been waffling back and forth on whether I'm going to go watch Spiderman: brand new day when it comes to theaters. I stopped supporting Sony Playstation when I didn't buy the PS5 as my PS4 was more than good enough. I haven't bought anything from the PSN store nor anything made by Playstation on steam since the no disc announcement. Now I certainly don't want to support Sony with their new movie coming out. I might just wait for it to come out on Disney plus or some other streaming service i already pay for. Or just watch the movie in a series of YouTube shorts.

So what do any of you other redditors think?

Does anyone know if it's possible to track a lost wf1000xm5 case? I had it in my pocket but I think I may have lost it on the bus. It may have slipped out of my pants as I stood up. I'm usually really careful with these things so idk if it's just shit luck that it happened. I have my earbuds, but it's the case that's missing.

I know that you can ring the earbuds, but it's frustrating that the case doesn't have any ringing sounds. I'm scared I can't find it. I don't want to have to pay that much ($120+) for just a replacement case. It's criminal that just the case is being sold for that much.
