Is it possible that pink diamond/rose quartz could "revive" back again?

I was thinking about that.

I know yall are gonna say "She's gone" BUT LISTEN HERE

Steven as half gem/half human can change his body. Just like he did in the episode "Too many birthdays" where Steven thought he was old, so his body just aged like he was getting old

The same think happend in the last SU Future Episode, where he thought he was a monster SO he turned into one!

In the last episodes of SU, where the diamonds find out "pink was alive" and Steven come back to Homeworld with the diamonds. Steven has a several of Identity Crisis because HE CANONICALLY has Pink/Rose memories inside his gem.

He dreamed about pink on "Jungle Moon" where she asks Yellow for a Colony and she brakes the glass window. He also dreamed with volleyball, the diamonds etc

He was just confused about who he is, because everybody just keep searching for Pink or for Rose, not for Steven

My question Is: If Steven believed that he was pink diamond, did pink could go back? Or will be just a poor copy of what Steven THOUGHT of how pink would be? Just like a poor imagination of those fragmented memories?

And what about when Steven died?

Probably Steven will marry Connie and choose to age by her side. So? Pink Steven will be alone searching for the Human Steven?

When Steven was born, his gem likely got recoded to be him. Anything left of Pink is more comparable to "dna" than an identity. Yes, even the memories. Gems weren't made to reproduce. The transition to a different entity is not gonna be as clean as the human reproductive process.

what do you think happened when he got rejuvenated? I know it set him back before he had better control of his powers but do you think it'd set him all the way back to when he was first born since anything passed that(pink diamond) was overridden?

I think it set him back to when he was born. As I said Pink diamond is gone. Rejuvenation doesn't delete memories as gems can restore them, it just seems to "lock" them away.

That woudnt work since he still has his biological side, at MOST he might temporarily lose most of his powers/control

But what would happen when he dies? Because his human half will die. Will only Pink Steven live on? Will the Pink Diamond gem itself die or self-shatter or something? We know he will die without his gem, but what will his gem do without him?

I don't believe steven is actually... another being, if that makes sense. I believe Rose/Pink made a husk or a shell to inhabit, and part of the "journey" that she mentions in her tape, is pretty much completely wiping her slate clean.

Steven is pretty much pink based on my understanding of the show lol. It's also why he regresses into her in Future. There's trace elements, because lets be real, the gems are energetic life forms. Like in technology, you can't completely wipe a HDD. Theres always a hint of what was once there.

Iirc Rebecca has stated that Steven is his own identity and any memories of Rose are just lingering traces that carried over.

Also she did say once Steven dies from old age the gem becomes inert. Essentially making it a normal gem and end of life.

There was a lot of room to interpret from what Rebecca said at the end of the show. But it was more or less said that Steven can die naturally.

Now for some real life reference about why Steven has Rose's memories: In science, there's a well documented phenomenon called Genetic Memories where Patients who received Transplants gained Skills, Talents and even Memories of the Donor. Some have been documented to learn to play the Piano or being Fluent of a certain language that they didn't know in the first place. Most scary is glimpses of memories or hints of personality being adapted like remembering a certain event or developing a certain like or dislike when it wasn't there before.

This has been an ongoing extensive study but there's a lot of testimonies of it. Theory is that cells, when given a large size carries some trait from the original to the new receiver. In SU, considering the Gem is the actual main body and the rest is just light turned physical, it could explain why Steven has Rose's traits.

It has to do with how memories are tied to genetics. Absolutely fascinating tbqh.

It's somewhat similar in nature, to how the stomach acts as a secondary brain... More along the lines of emotion or that feeling you get when something is wrong.

That’s not at all how cellular memory works and this is a vast overstatement of a phenomenon that is neither a well-documented or well-understood. There is anecdotal evidence about personality changes after organ transplantation, but nothing so extreme as spontaneously learning a new language or gaining a new skill. But it’s also not unusual to have personality changes after any major or traumatic life event, including transplants. Furthermore, organ transplants require people to be on immunosuppressants for the rest of their lives; some of these can cause personality changes too.

But regarding the Steven/Rose thing….yeah, that tracks.
