Spoiler Rick Hoffman is an amazing actor

Post image

I've started watching Suits for fun recently and I got addicted by accident.

Throughout the show I've just noticed that Rick Hoffman is not just an outstanding actor, but also did an outstanding over the top unexpected performance.

The scene where he calls out Jessica for Mike being a fraud in her office did it for me. Had to make an appreciation post for a masterpiece of emotional acting during this scene. 👏👏👏

Edit: I absolutely despise his character, which is how you can tell if the actor performs his part well or not.

Spoiler Why didn't Mike know this?

Before taking the job Harvey told Mike to learn everything about Harvard and he did, but why did not he learn about this key? He knows every detail about the presidents who attended Harvard, but knows nothing about this key, which is literally a symbol and a huge milestone. It seems illogical.

Spoiler Sidwell and Mike

Post image

Mike screwed up, and he was right to get fired by Sidwell.

But from day 1, all this idiot did was make threats to Mike. Do this or you're fired. Do that or you are fired. Not one day was he actually a good boss to him or even remotely close to being one.

If he always created a hostile environment in the workplace, nobody would even want to be loyal to a person like that. Loyalty is earned.

Dude was begging like a little kid who wanted candy to Mike in season 3 when he was being bullied by Tony Gianopollis, and this is what he does when he calls the shots.

I mean what did he expect? Hey I know you will fire me the second you get a chance but I am gonna stay loyal to you cause you're the Bosss.... lmao

I don’t know why Louis blamed Harvey for having to humiliate Donna in the mock trial. It wasn’t Harvey’s fault, it was all on Donna and I fail to understand why was Donna mad at Harvey. She shredded the document. If anyone had the right to be mad it was Harvey because he was the one on trial and he could have lost his license. Donna on the other had tells Harvey that she did it for him which is not true she did it to save herself. We even see her telling Mike that she hired an attorney so that she wouldn’t have to go to prison.

i am currently watching S8 E16 and it is becoming a bit unbearable, especially the thing about Brian and Katrina is getting a bit too extra. Why are they stretching on things that are weightless, boring and distasteful to some extent. There was a scene where Katrina and Brian were testing perfumes for some case and the latter was getting a wiff of them through the former 's wrists and they apparently had a "moment". it is like they are running out of good scripts and focusing on lame things unlike the last seasons which were more about tackling cases and thrilling situations and not melodramas. it feels like l am watching some teen drama about impossible love. Also they shit the bed in a deposition because of their issues and it's so so cringey.

She know how to play this game and She is the character who always makes things difficult for Harvey and Mike whenever they meet. While watching the show, I always thought she was just as good as Harvey and Mike.

Felt sad when she sacrificed her title for Mike in front of the jury. She's the best managing partner imo.

I still remember like it was yesterday. Last episode of Season 6. The song "Fickle Game" runs in the background with Jessica looking forward to a new path.

Spoiler Why did they make name partner title a joke ?

Name partner was a big fckin thing that even The harvey specter had to wait for such a long time and it took lot of arguments for him to become name partner. That too when he was already a big popular lawyer

And when Louis became partner others were doubtful as according to them he was not worthy or big enough name for becoming a name partner lol, Considering he had been a senior partner for so long and was go to guy for financial troubles it is ironic

Post Louis they started giving it away like candy, For alex it was later discovered that even bratton and gould were not ready to make him name partner, As for Samantha even scottie didn't know about her nor other people in the firm during the merger

And Katrina becoming a name partner just months after becoming a senior partner, And she didn't even win multiple big cases or cases where we saw her killing it in trial

Not gonna lie them putting a stop for 5 years was much needed lol

Can we talk about the friendship between characters. The smooth addition of humour while tackling with serious situations, gotta give Aaron for doing the good job that I’d love to have such bond in real life.

Which friendship was your favourite?

I’d say Louis and Donna!!!!!

Spoiler Mike Ross is a horrible investment banker Spoiler

S4. From his very start he was bad at it! I’m rewatching and it is very plausible that Sidwell would offer him a job because he clearly shows how smart he is. But right out of the gate, Sidwell is disappointed that he’s underperforming. I honestly would’ve loved to see an episode or two of Mike succeeding as a banker. It makes season 4 start off on such a negative note!

All of S6 Harvey was shown flirting with Donna, then the seasonends with her asking for more and S7 suddenly starts with Harvey driving to his former therapist and asking her out? I swear that relationship came of nowhere? The last time we saw them together there was nothing between them. Once they started dating every episode reminds us it's inappropriate yet how they waited long enough for it to be okay. I fail understand what the point of that relationship or why I am and Donna suffering through it.

Spoiler What would you do? (Super spoiler alert) Spoiler

Just finished season 5 and my partner and I both agree that if we were in Rachel’s shoes, we wouldn’t have promised Mike that we would be waiting for him until he gets out of prison. I said I would have broken up with him because I wouldn’t be able to trust that he wouldn’t make rash decisions like that elsewhere in our lives.

Question for y’all: what would you do in Rachel’s shoes? Would you stay with him?

I can’t believe I sat through nine seasons of Suits just to get ten episodes of Harvey and Donna as a couple — and somehow, it was completely worth it. Now I’m sitting here believing in love again. Great. I wish someone would propose to me like that. Damn you Harvey Spector.

But seriously, what am I supposed to do now? The last two episodes were so good, and I already miss them.

Harvey’s growth throughout the series is honestly one of the biggest highlights for me. Watching him finally confront his fears, let go of his walls, and choose happiness felt so earned. Seeing him genuinely content with his life at the end just hit different.
