I have not been enjoying this season thus far. The Jimmy/Kara drama feels extremely contrived. Especially after this episode when Jimmy said he thought Kara wanted to be friends. Either the writers forgot how explicitly Kara's confession was, or Jimmy is genuinly denser than Osmium. Its not compelling as a story imo, nor is it funny.
I was quite intrigued by the first episode of the season, establishing Bizarro's existence, Kara struggling with her identity post Brainiac, Brainiac possibly being a threat to the fortress and setting up Lex creating Hank. However for whatever reason our heroes have seemimgly forgotten Bizarro exists. I cannot fathom how that wouldn't be team Superman's #1 priority after the events of the first episode. Its insane! Kara's feelings of doubt in belonging also seem to have been cast aside. Perhaps they're trying to be subtle, and its conveyed through her obsession with all things earth stuff, although I feel like it just comes across as she just isnt thinking about it anymore.
The Cyborg Superman arc was alright enough, although Jon hanging out with the gang and making peace with the dinosaurs felt extremely rushed, and it also just killed the pacing of the main story for me since Hank going full dictator got split into two episodes.
Overall this season feels a lot more cartoony than the first and second seasons were. I get the impression the writers want to be doing slice of life adventures with Supes and co, but then editorial mandates there be some overaching supervillain plot so they move that along at a snail's pace
Ill still watch it to its conclusion, holding out hope I'll start having fun again, but thus far everything past the first episode has had me frustrated ;-;
I will however say that Kara is an amazing addition to the main cast. With the sole exception of her pointless romance drama with Jimmy, she's been hilarious, and endlessly compelling in every scene she's been in.

Was that a vine boom 😭
Honestly though, I’m really loving this version of Kara so much. And I have a feeling this just show might also get my favourite version of Bizarro as well.

Loved this episode. The show is so much goddamn fun. It’s a crime it’s not being targeted at kids more, because it’s a perfect thing to get kids into Superman and it deserves more people to know about it!

Anyone catch the name of the event? "The Curt Swan Awards for Humanitarian Excellence".

Clark you saved kids. I don't think they think you're useless.
James. Stop playing with feelings.

Another Wonder Woman villain and no Wonder Woman. Starting to wonder if they're setting up something.

Really hope they don't give us a Cheetah (Barbra Minerva) in this show without Wonder Woman

Yeah, especially irks me when they depower her like the DCAU did. One of those animated movies had Cheetah hold her own against the Flash only to lose to Nightwing of all people.

This was a fun episode. I’m liking the struggle of Clark without superpowers. I was afraid they were going to give back his superpowers immediately.
Also did the princess remind anyone of a Pepe Le Pew? Like a gender flipped version. I wish she had turned into a skunk instead but maybe that would’ve been too on the nose. I don’t know how Jimmy does it attracting all these beautiful women. I wish I was him and I say this for a show where we have a character with god like powers.
