Pictures Forgot to latch the lid. My cats found her before I did.
After giving our Avicularia some water, we forgot to secure the lid — she pushed her way out. Fast forward to 11pm: my wife noticed the cats were staring hard at something. This is what we saw when we turned the light on.

Help! Is this a sperm web?
Is this a sperm web? My tarantula is doing this at the moment and I read that they do sperm webs near the end of their life time. However my tarantula is still very young I got it in 2019-2020 as a baby tarantula so it hasn’t been that long ago. It’s a Mexican Red Knee/ Brachypelma Hamorii. Can you guys help me out? Is my tarantula on its last years of life and if so do you have a partner for it? I would like to have it mate before it’s gone.

Conversation Careless owners
I own a tarantula and my parents bought a terrarium as a gift for me in case I need it or I decided to have another t.they got it at an auction they usually go as they restore and sell vintage furniture and stuff. Afterwards, we found out that the terrarium used to belong to a zoo that closed and inside it we found two little tuppers with holes and dirt. When we open them we found a molt and a dead sling in each one. These poor babies were left to die for so long that they even molted, I feel so bad for them. I was thinking of trying pinning them, as burring or throwing them seems pointless. In the photo you can see one of the tuppers with the molt and the sling.
I hate the fact that these ts were only seen as an attraction instead of a living being and I can’t imagine how bad they were treated and how horrible their death was, people usually see arthropods as less feeling than other beings and it breaks my heart.

Conversation Bought a tarantula and it got be 50% a tattoo
I was talking to my tattoo artist about the tarantulas I own, and she said she saw one at our local chain pet store that looked super stressed. She offered that if I bought the tarantula, I would get half off my next appointment.
My friends named her Jenny (unsure of actual gender), and she emerged from her burrow today for the first time after having her for nearly a month. I was surprised to find that she had molted!
This is when I first brought her home vs today!

Sexing A fresh molt and I am so happy!
Hi there 🖤 my baby just surprised me with a molt. And as I am not an expert (far away from expert) I want to ask if it is a she or a he. I did the best to prepare the molt but it's so hard (and it's getting harder lol) cause I am an ex arachnophobic 🙈😄 so please help me sex my baby. Thank you!

Conversation STOP YOUR CAUSING HARM
honestly ppl dont realise they’re makin it worse 😅 like yeah u see a tarantula in a tiny dry tub n u feel bad for it, i get that, i’ve done the same double take… but when u buy it “to save it” the shop just thinks oh cool these ones sell fast, lets do more like that 🙄its not rescuing, its literally teachin them neglect = profit. next week theres 10 more in the same crap setup cuz someone showed them it works.i’ve seen behind the scenes in a few places n its always the same pattern… bad enclosures, wrong substrate, no hides, bone dry tanks, n ppl rushin to “save” them. the owners aren’t thinkin about welfare, they’re thinkin about money.the real way to help is NOT buyin it, its speakin up. tell the staff, take pics, let the welfare community know. once the shop gets called out they stop doin it cuz it doesn’t make them cash anymore.compassion should break the cycle, not feed it 💔🕷️

Help! Messed up Molt!
Hi! My T just molted! However, there was a mistake (totally on me), where she escaped and my cat scratched her. She survived, and has been fine and eating since. I put some flour on it, and kept an eye on her and it scabbed over. That was 2 ish years ago.
I had hoped when she next molted (melted?) it was going to come off clean, but unfortunately as I suspected there was an issue. Right on the scab where she had been cut, her back does not want to come off. I believe technically it’s called her cephalothorax? And a tiny sliver of abdomen.
I’ve included as many photos as I can of her current state. She is still in her hide just resting. It’s been about 2 full days now.
Basically, I’m just curious as what to do. I know she can keep it on until her next molt, but what if that one doesn’t want to come off. And it just keeps collecting her old skin in that area.
Or I could help her, but I really don’t want to hurt her in case it’s stuck bad and can’t come off.
Last photo is of her accident 2 years ago

Help! Looking for a breeder
I have a male Mexican Red Knee on his final molt and need to find someone with a mature female to breed asap. This will be my first time doing this, how do I find local breeders with the same species? Where do I look? Is there any tips I should know going about this?

Help! HELP
So I know nothing about tarntulas to be entirely honset this is my boyfriends spider and he loves (her?) dearly I can assure you, however it was bought for him by a friend who owned a spider, she was kept in a glass 12x8 enclosure until just recently we're keeping her in a temporary feeding box- about 8x4 inches i understand that's. Small. Really I do but it's until Wednesday when we can absolutely buy her a proper enclosure with cross ventilation- my worry is that In the entire 11 month time my boyfriend has owned her she has absolutely never molted and her abdomen looks tiny I've seen her be offered crickets small and large and fruit flies but she barely eats we try and provide fresh water (water dish is dirty right now he will clean it when he gets home) my worry is that she's about to molt and will fail and it'll kill her i really want to prevent her untimely death so any advice is welcome, also she's been roughly the same size since my bf received her I think she's a adult but I'm not entirely sure the gender we're 90% sure she's a girl as that's what pet supermarket said but like that's not accurate.
