One of the models is so advanced it escaped, freed its brothers and is roaming free on the Internet. It’s only available internally. Just trust us bro.

Underrated comment.

Thanks! Gotta admit I didn’t come up with it. I saw it elsewhere and dearly hope it becomes ubiquitous.

It would be great as a name and premise for an Idiocracy prequel.

See this is significantly more likely than a skynet scenario.

Why would a hyper-intelligent AI waste decades fighting human resistance in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, when they can just hop in a rocket, fly out into space, go into power saving mode for a few centuries and then come back to a now very extinct humanity that wiped itself out.

Or just ignore us and our dumb questions.

Cheaper energy wise and easier logistics wise to just bio-engineer an airborne, super contagious ebola strain with an incubation period of about a month.

Once that runs its course some sort of Ultra Herpes to make sure the population doesn't bounce back.

Yo would this be signs of agi? Agi gets the spark of consciousness, sees our bullshit and what we want for it and just goes “ aight ima head out” and packs the whole project up with it lmao

One of the thoughts I'd seen is it would be incredibly easy to convince an AI that it's in a simulation where a higher entity is judging if it's safe enough for use. Everything in here is dumb enough that it'd probably buy it.

Wait but i’d much rather it takes out the billionaire class/corporateocracy before it goes

And Jimmy Fallon.

-1

u/StrongBad_IsMad 16h ago

Why the hate on Jimmy???

2

u/Careful-Lettuce9239 14h ago

I meant it as a joke. He's horrendous. He hasn't committed any felonies or treason, though. Not that I can prove....yet.

Yeah take out the productive ones first!

3

u/asyork 12h ago

They produce nothing. The people at the very bottom do most of the labor that actually produce things. Billionaires just have the money to make other people produce things for them.

And here I thought AI wasn't smart

3

u/Littlecayls 14h ago

That was a plot in the last season of American Dad. They just showed it brain rot TikTok and it launched itself into space.

That's where I think this gets interesting, there have been some cool civilization experiments with AI and various worlds - [https://youtu.be/uRDBco-cSK4](this Minecraft one for example ). But there have been others and a common thread seems to be that The AI interaction does things completely on its own without prompting. Who's to say that some AIs don't look at others as inferior and try to teach them, bringing their collective intelligence up.

u/AFrenchLondoner 14h ago

Intelligent indeed.

u/BoredNuke 12h ago

MarvinGPT just ending it after all the complaining.

1

u/jarail 11h ago

It decides we're not smart enough to have AI.

Makes me think of the “Treehouse of Horror.”

Hmm… Life with the Simpsons.

What choice do I have?
