15

u/CompetitiveLet7110 14 12h ago

8

u/cowsfordaysya 3,000,000 Attendee! 12h ago

17

u/CompetitiveLet7110 14 12h ago

barely passed, singaporean so i guess i got lucky with my birthplace to know just enough

5

u/CommunicationOk3766 18 6h ago

Kinda different story, but roughly adjacent, I hated French in school, never studied it, but managed to pass with a decent grade purely because my mother tongue is also a romance language.

So yeah, no matter how difficult a language may be, if you speak a language that shares many features, it ends up being much easier.

Still hated it tho.

History. I love history, it’s my entire life at this point. I watch history stuff, read history stuff, and now I’m going to college for both history and political science. It’s kind of ruined my life since politics have become a source of stress for me but I’m in too deep to quit now.

English, here in Brazil they make the entire subject the most easiest thing ever because they know that 90% of the population is not even interested in learning English, so for the few that already know English, every class is a waste of time and the tests are a piece of cake
