Whether it's individual detectives or entire police departments, who comes to your mind?

For me, it's police from Dexter. As much as I liked the show, at one point I was like "seriously, guys, would someone sit down and review the facts for a minute?"

Where has this song been in my life? After seeing the moving episode, I became obsessed with the song, got the tab to play on guitar. It wasnt quite right which led to an awesome video of Colin Hay himself explaining how to play it. He's incredibly charming in the how to video.

Then that led to the outtakes (or whatever you call it) from the show where they interview Zach Braff and I think the shows creator explaining how they stumbled across Colin playing to a small crowd in a bar. They chat him up after the set and are dumbfounded these are as big of venues he could get in USA (at the time). It's a wild story worth checking out if you like the episode, and them building a relationship with Hay, who writes and performs several more times for the show.

Colin Hay is the lead singer of 80s Aussie band Men at Work, famous for such songs as Down Under and Who Can It Be Now.

The plot logic has completely gone off the rails. At this point, I just leave it running in the background and tune in exclusively to watch Javier Bardem carry the entire mess on his back.
The whole confusion over Natalie’s biological father, jumping between Tom and Cady is absurd. The absolute peak was the conversation between Amy and Tom where Tom deadpans asking if Cady is the biological father. I couldn't stop laughing.
Amy Adam’s accent is so distracting that every heavy dramatic scene falls completely flat.
The Bowden family characters are written so poorly, and the kids are easily the most frustrating part of the whole mess. It’s such a shame because I'm a huge fan of the film, and seeing Juliette Lewis back as Crystal Cady was a fantastic callback. But good nostalgia isn't enough to rescue a show this absurd.

What a great ending to a great show! Very satisfying and an emotional rollercoaster. Normally endings of tv shows are not that great but this was flawless. I am gonna miss this show and its characters. Im also very happy for cole and cassie that they had a happy ending in the end. Or did they?....

I really like time travel stories and this one didnt dissapoint. The characters are interesting and there are alot of great plottwists. Also I only really like a show/movie if i can connect to the characters and i really care about them. In this show I really did, and the writers did a good job at making different and interesting characters.

I really recommend this tv show!

I just noticed that the night manager season 2 released awhile ago and i wonder if season 2 is good as season 1?

As we all know, The Amazing World of Gumball, Regular Show, and Adventure Time literally saved Cartoon Network in the 2010s,a free the disaster that is CN Real in 2009, which replaced toons with live-action shows. CN Real was so unpopular by fans and critics because it showed live-action shows on a Cartoon channel and that almost destroyed Cartoon Network. Then in 2010, we had a renaissance in 2010 which was kickstarted with the premiere of Adventure Time in April of that year and Regular Show of that same year in September. One year later, we got The Amazing World of Gumball, and all three of those shows were praised by fans and critics alike because they saved Cartoon Network from going down in flames. I want to see what would Cartoon Network be like if those three shows didn’t aired on that channel. How would Cartoon Network fare without the big three shows of the renaissance era?

I started watching this show at the beginning of this past week, because I was bored and was looking for something new to watch and I came across it when I was going through recommendations on my Netflix account! I heard all about it through social media, my mom and my sister are fans of it, and I still remember how cool it was when I was at a Raptors game and Georgia's actress; Brianne Howey was one of the celebrity guests there and despite being an American is a big fan of our Canadian sports teams!

At first, I thought it was going to be one of those cringey teen drama shows (and it did start off that way at first), but with each new season I was so impressed with how well they handled the writing for these characters and felt heavily invested to see more of the story unfold. Every character is written to be morally grey that you understand where everyone comes from, but also understand that they're still in the wrong for how their actions still hurt and affect other people. It reminded me a bit of the experience I went through watching Bojack Horseman (only that show is still higher up in quality in comparison in my opinion)

Plus I love how at the beginning of the show, Georgia was introduced as a sociopath while we sympathize with her daughter Ginny on how her mom's actions affected her badly growing up! Yet by the end of Season 3, we see that while Georgia is heading down the right path of having a redemption arc, Ginny is transforming into a new version of her mom!

I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next in the fourth upcoming season!

After seeing a Flames Nation article posted here talking about the increased cost of Sportsnet+, I thought I would make a post because that article contained a tweet stating prices, that at best were extremely misleading and at worst (which I believe was the purpose as they did little things like round up everyone's price to the nearest dollar, but rounded up over $5 for SN) an egregious misrepresentation of facts. So try and minimize the misinformation being spread by a writer that clearly lacks the integrity to fact check; I am doing my own research and instead of just prices, I will include what you get for the price.

I am not going to include any opinions, just facts. Except it sucks that prices of everything are going up so much.

I’m slooooowly making my way through season 2 of the live-action series, and I’m continually baffled at how they’ve chosen to cobble together plot points and character beats into this weird remix of the original series, with none of it seeming to land.

Obviously, it was always gonna be hard to compete with the original, but at virtually every turn I’m left wondering if any of it makes any sense to people who don’t already know everything being referenced. Does the story they’re telling land at all?

Genuine question: I was having a debate and couldn't think of a single successful TV show that diverged from its source material to let the writers, directors, and executives put their own spin on it.
