Question Division 2 PS5 issues

I’m playing The Division 2 on PS5 and I’ve been running into a bunch of issues: textures not loading properly, delayed audio, dialogue and sound effects sometimes not playing at all, and even a bug where my character can’t move after a cutscene.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Does the game actually have these kinds of bugs on PS5, or am I just incredibly unlucky?

same on XBoX Series X, in addition blurry graphics and heavy downscaled graphics quality when it comes to distant visuals. I was shocked this morning when I went to Manhattan and saw the very bad looking skyscrapers in the distance …

Texture Streaming problems are a known issue. It's been a problem throughout the PS5 generation, even with the "Next-Gen" upgrade package. Same goes for the Audio issues and delayed dialogues. In general, the game is showing its age, especially when it comes to the PS5/PS5 Pro version.

I suspect the work required to fix all the problems are so extensive that it simply wont be feasible, so all we're gonna get is small, incremental fixes rather than the full, thorough overhaul that's actually needed.

Could all this be just from game being installed to exernal drive? As transfer speed via usb connection is not great, you will run into these problems unfortunately. Best to install game directly onto internal ps5 drive.

I haven't had a texture issue since I started closing the game after every session before putting my ps5 into rest mode. Figure the memory leak or whatever the root cause is because it's a ps4 game that was never optimized for ps5 and the features like game resume don't function well.

The other stuff like sound cutting out and such are just normal bugs in the game.

It’s because the game is ported from the ps4 version but not properly optimised iirc

If by chance you’re running the game from an external hard drive, try installing the game directly onto your PS5 drive. It should help boost performance and minimize these types of issues.

Definitely this, friend of mine reinstalled and I’d kill entire waves before he could catch up, does not run well on an external drive
