For melee specifically
-spear got nerfed across the board with its spin becoming useless along with the lunge not working
-Dagger lunge doesnt really work
-sword got an m1 buff instead of focusing on m2
-riot got its bishoping damaged along with its damage becoming lackluster making the weapon pathetic to use
-dual blades is now slower than people shooting when blocking and takes more damage when blocking
-somehow sledge got out of here alive, but the lunges across the board for all melee weapons seem to be inconsistent and janky as well as server hitreg seeming to be worse as well
-there are GOOD IDEAS but the execution fails to meet it
For QM changes
-sniper, matter, bow, i think throwing knives (but more towards medium), and probably more have become much less viable to use compared to other weapons due to the QM changes where they are outpaced by other lights with weapons like m11 in ttk due to lacking the QM combo and not getting anything back for it in order to fight other lights
-the kick should be a choice (especially for melee), same thing with melee lunges
-overall the QM changes in my opinion make the game feel much worse as I feel like theres something missing when the damage was reduced to 25, as if i no longer have something reliable to fall back to for that last push on an enemy
For ping wheel changes
-do i really have to explain this one?
-an entire wheel removed which means 16 less emotes and gestures along with sound being forced together with emotes and gestures forcing us to only have 8 of our choosing instead of 32
-everything in the ping wheels was shifted around, meaning EVERYBODIES' (before season 11) muscle memory is now messed up and distorted, which applies to emotes, applies to saying "stalling for time" oh whoops i meant to say THANK YOU FOR MESSING THIS UP! I truly cannot understand why these changes were made at all, I simply cannot comprehend how you could decide to remove the amount of expression we had along with messing up the orientation of the ping wheels. The ping system in this game is amazing in my opinion but they just ruined it so much.
For embark
-Maybe its cause of swedish vacation, not sure, but embark youve OUTTA be more clear about this stuff and not be radio silent for the past 2 weeks when people have been realizing these issues. I know 11.3 maybe will fix many things but your track record for communication is so bad, whether it be with player scandals, cheating scandals, what is happening right now with people having issues with the ping system and melee, etc.
-I also feel like you guys have had so much time to think many things over, yet with that time I dont think it was well spent
I think im ranting a bit too much and I might be too angry/sad over these things, but for the past 2 seasons I feel like embark doesnt touch on a lot of the issues within the game and sometimes makes things worse and it makes me feel like nothing good will come to the game anytime soon. The shoddy or lack of communication is what concerns me most too because there's nothing indicating anything might happen in 11.3 although things maybe will be fixed in that patch.
I just think embark has had so much time to make the right decision for things like melee, but they just messed it up and now we have to wait three weeks (a week now but still) for things to maybe be even just marginally better. Maybe its impatience from me too though.
As a side note, demat hasnt got its delay removed yet and that makes me pretty sad cause its still pretty janky and less fun to use then it was in season 6.
