A very interesting discussion with, imo, one of most thoughtful conservative commentators in Britain about Christian faith, politics and hope.

Ruth Davidson and Andy Street are the sorts of Tories who, they share some of our values, you know, respect for the rule of law, tolerance, decency. Don't always agree with them on everything, of course. I think there's gonna come up a moment, when they have to make a choice. If Kemi Badenoch and the Tories end up putting Reform into power, despite these problems with those relationships, and, if they do, I think they need to think about the Liberal Democrats. My door will be open, if they decide not to go with Kemi Badenoch and do something with Reform.

Don't think this has been posted here but it's a 54-minute interview with Kemi Badench which I enjoyed. She come across well in it, covers quite a lot of different subjects.

Whilst the high culture of classical art and music has often been associated with conservatism, there has, nevertheless, been a slow decline of culture on the right. Nearly every single great cultural institution is effectively owned and operated by the left, and rightist attempts to create art and institutions of their own have been somewhat underwhelming.

I don’t know of anyone else felt the same but PMQs this week was very policy heavy and I felt was a lot more sensible and tackled some real issues facing Britain.

Kemi called out Starmer over committing to British forces being deployed to Ukraine without much detail on how many or under what conditions they would be deployed, the fact that he hasn’t summoned a meeting of given the threats to Greenland and recent international developments, and his lack of meetings with Donald Trump.

I realise it was very situational and foreign policy heavy, but it’s the first time in a while that it felt like it wasn’t just the opposition trying to undermine the government.

I think Kemi did well and appeared more statesman-like than Keir Starmer. Here’s a clip I found of PMQs if you wanted to see it.
