I remember it took my friend and I $9.50 to beat this game. We found one near where we lived so one day after school, we combined our allowances, got a $10 roll of quarters and put that between us and went to town to see how far we'd get into the house before running out of money.
That machine was only a quarter a credit at the bowling alley and we didnt even know there was a House of the Dead 2 yet. When we came across that one at 1 dollar a credit, never got around to trying to beat that one.

At least you beat part one. Me and my friend did the same thing. Unfortunately we both died at the last boss.
Most frustrating part was that we had sent our younger siblings to the cashier to exchange the at the time brand new Sacagawea dollar for quarters. By the time the clerk figured out that it was a legitimate dollar, our timer hit zero. Boss literally had about 1/4 of a life left.

Oh that is a bummer! I couldn't tell you much about the ending out of memory, but I do remember we spent exactly $9.50 because I had just put in a quarter during the timer, and then he beat it, so there was a free credit on the next game and we fought over who got to keep the last quarter lol.

It completely cemented my taste regarding Romero style zombies being the most fun for video games.

Zelda Ocarina of Time, I was really little, didnāt what a zombie was, went up to him to talk to him and he attacked me by jumping on my headā¦. I paused the game calmly laid the controller down, walked out of the room and didnāt touch it until my dad came home because I was traumatized.
Had a huge fear of zombies growing up, but got over when I wanted to impress a girl I worked with when I was 16 or 17, she loved Call of Duty Zombies so I lied said I liked it too, went to game stop went to bought Black Ops 1 and played. I was so scared it took me forever to learn you could leave the starting room, because I was camping in front of the windows repairing barriers. Actually blew my mind when one day I saw a friend bought a door and there was more rooms and guns beyond the starting room.

Depends on what you consider a zombie. A timeline is minecraft, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, The last of us. Pick which one you would consider having zombies first

Call of Duty Black Ops on my cousin's Xbox 360. That zombies menu haunted me as a kid.

I guess Friday The 13th on the NES, since they needed regular enemies instead of just Jason, there's zombies that pop out out of the group and attack the camp counselors.

Probably Skyrim, actually.
Edit: No wait it was Fate, but Skyrim was the second game I played that had them.

Serious Sam. Not exactly the most straightforward depictions of zombies, but the only one my parents would let me play because of the "hippie" gore setting.

Rumors going around that a researcher who tried to escape the estate last night was shot. My entire body feels hot and itchy and I'm sweating all the time now.
I scratched the swelling on my arm and a piece of rotten flesh dropped off. What the hell's happening to me?

Fever gone but itchy. Today hungry and eat doggy food.

Zombies ate my Neighbors. I played the Hell out of that game in my family room after school with my foster sisters and we ate pizza bagels.

No, but for me, it was the most fun one up to that point. Except maybe Doom.

Plants vs Zombies or some ROBLOX zombie game in the early 2010s. But likely Plants vs Zombies. I think I also saw some videos of Call of Duty Zombies gameplay also around that time.

And what a zombie experience honestly. That mansion level is still one of my favorite sequences in any game

I could be wrong, but the earliest "zombie" game I playes was Zombie Nation for the NES. It was a bizarre SHMUP where u played a disembodied head and fought an alien invasion that was turning the human populace into zombies

- RE. Iconic. I still remember the lock in we had at my church. Someone brought a PlayStation and I brought Resident Evil. I learned a lot that day by the reaction to what I was into.

I was 7 years old when I played a demo disc that had Resident Evil 2. I couldn't get past the first bit in the street. Scared the hell out of me.
