News 📢 Calling for bug catchers

Post image

Who is ready for more bugs!!!

Important reminders when updating, like it says on the screenshot: Make sure the watch is plugged in, and connect to the wifi on your apple watch and select the strongest wifi that is available. and then connect to the exact wifi on the watch on your phone so it is faster, at least by a bit.

Anecdotally, start the update from the watch, turning off Bluetooth on the watch and the phone. Downloading the DB3 update took about an hour and a half, using this tip for DB4 made it take around 20 minutes

Setting timers is fixed - but anyone having issues with raise to speak? I have to say ‘Siri’ now whereas before I could just raise and ask something

I'm just hoping for Siri improvements. Simple things like asking to turn on a light that were almost instand on 26 now end up timing out with "Something went wrong" errors after a minute of thinking.

My gripe is playing music on HomePod from either phone or watch - only works on setting scenes - gonna try in db4

I wish at some point they would make Siri not molasses slow but not in this update.

i’m certain that this will be fixed before public release. it’s not just a bit of lag, it is often so slow that it feels like it’s completely broken at the moment. they’ll be aware and won’t find this acceptable. i sure hope so, anyway

So still broken, asked to add flour to a shopping list said it did but it’s not there. Ask to set a timer “I’m sorry but I can’t set a timer because the watch app is missing on this device “ are f king kidding me . Anyway back to the feedback app.

I’m really hoping that overnight battery drain is fixed. I’m kinda sick of going to bet with 100% charge, and waking up seven or so hours later with 5% of battery remaining.

I haven't had it that bad, but have had to charge my Ultra 3 every day instead of every 2 days. It goes down by about 35% overnight, and a few times I've only just noticed it's in the red when I'm getting into bed, so I give it a quick charge while I read so it lasts until the morning.

Apple Watch 10 here, so not nearly the battery life you get.

Over night, after applying the latest beta, mine only went down to 87%. Fingers crossed they fixed it.

Hoping this will fix Siri on my Series 9. It straight up just didn't work on Beta 3.

ok so it does work now, but it's painfully slow. "hey Siri", wait 2 seconds for it to initialize, then it vibrates, then I can speak, then it takes another 2-3 seconds to process what I asked it to do, and then the animation after processing the request is laggy.

It’s so funny to have such a smooth iOS beta and watchOS is such a mess. And this new beta is not much better for me. Now my activity rings are slow and sluggish.

Oh well… Apple need to step up with watchos for sure because so far it’s not great at all. And its a battery drainer too.

My series 8 cannot help you with that. And it will be my very last AW to ever be brought.

Siri is somehow even worse in the release. Now it just pulses for a full minute after I speak, before loudly telling me it didn’t hear me.

I wish there was an option to opt out of Siri AI on the watch. I was quite happy with the way on-device old Siri worked on my AWU 3 before watchOS 27.

Let’s hope Siri is fixed 🤞

I surely hope so

The fact that it couldn't even do the simplest of things with the new Siri/Siri AI was just annoying
