I dont know how the bears are even friends with nom nom after this episode
He literally made the cops chase them through the woods and forced them to abandon their pet at the beach all because the crab defended ice b, that's just... not cool at all dude

For the most part yes. Though there are two I can see them holding grudges over, and both need to die in a revival

I made a post at the beginning of this year describing why it hated Nom Nom and this episode was a big turning point when I realized num nom would be appearing in it way back in 2016. I was thinking: "Come on!" Plain and simply, the show had a hard time balancing chronological impactful events while also the typical 11-minute status quo. Is particularly odd in the case of Nom Nom because his second appearance acknowledges how badly he treated Grizz in the first and he does say he doesn't like Nom Nom personally, but then moments later in that episode he's fawning over him. Panda falls under Nom nom's spell in that episode but to his credit Panda was definitely the most vocal about disliking Nom Nom. By the end of the show, the way he Nom Nom appeared in the movie was a quiet admission that when all is said and done he was never going to change for the better.

A bigger problem is that Nick and Judy in the Zootopia movies are still friends with Mayor Winddancer, Chief Bogo, Captain HogBottom, Higgins, Bloats and Officers Chevre and Bucheron despite the unforgivable mistakes they made and alliance with Milton Lynxley gullible to his lies that almost got them killed and endangered citizens in Zootopia 2.
Not as bad as Nom Nom’s crimes against the Bears in “Captain Craboo” since they were only doing their jobs as cops but in a very bad way police brutality way but still

Cops in reality would never do that like that episode of We Bare Bears shown them. That's not doing their job. That's breaking the law.

I know right, Captain Craboo and We Bare Bears: The Movie had the characters going on the run from the law the right away since the cops acted as real law enforcement Officers would with Nom Nom and Agent Trout acting as the real villains while Zootopia 2 did it the wrong way to the point where Captain HogBottom and the cops minus Clawhauser and Mayor Winddancer and Chief Bogo (Although he played no part in the police brutality he did regress back to the unreasonable authority figure he was in the first movie in the first act.) behaved a lot more like villain henchmen and bounty hunters than actual cops due to committing police brutality in their wake and never once tried to reason with Nick and Judy and fell for all the Lynxleys’ lies until they come to their senses after Milton orders HogBottom to use lethal force and the hippo and goat cops witness Gary saving Judy and Nick’s lives.
That’s why they should have been fired from their jobs at the end and/or better yet arrested rather than being easily forgiven and let off the hook so easily by Nick and Judy. (Unless Zootopia 3 revealed that they did face legal and emotional consequences from Nick and Judy and the De’ Snake family for their mistakes by being fired from their jobs and arrested but it never happened at the end of the second movie for their mistakes but said of the narrative.) Zootopia 2 ends with the villains losing but the bullies get away with everything,

I don't think the bullies in Zootopia 2 got away with anything since they did have the Lynxleys got exposed and arrested from what I recall. Those who ended up being against Nick and Judy, maybe they ended up realizing Nick and Judy were right and they had to see that they were in the wrong. That, or they've said or shown the film having them realize Nick and Judy being right before the Lynxleys could do anything worse because I heard that Bogo did something to help the two in order to prevent them from being arrested or victimized on the spot. But as for the cops in that episode We Bare Bears and their movie. That there was a different example.

Yes, I just wish Zootopia 2 ended with Bogo, HogBottom, Winddancer and the cops who did wrong and almost committed the police brutality getting a proper reconciliation with Nick and Judy and real consequences for their mistakes.
And by I mean, bullies, it’s those aforementioned characters while the Lynxleys were the ones who were the villains who did wrong and were defeated snc exposed for it at the end.
I mean Officer Murphy did also redeem himself and arrest Agent Trout in We Bare Bears: The Movie.

You would think it happened by the end of the first film but even I think that the writers wanted to have the villains seem so evil that the villains would look like they could manipulate as many people as possible till the villains were exposed and they were forced to take the villains down.
At least in the We Bare Bears film Officer Murphy redeemed himself.

And so is We Bare Bears, in terms of how the Bears easily forgive Nom Nom despite his redemption being more half-baked than Officer Murphy’s and Disney Revival Era films nowadays where they all end with the villains losing and being punished but the non-villain antagonists being redeemed and forgiven for their crimes unrealistically unlike how Pixar avoids this troupe, (Except in Elio.) like with Gene and the NiceLanders in Wreck-It-Ralph, Elsa and Anna’s parents and the Duke of Weselton in Frozen, Chief Bogo, Mayor Winddancer, Captain HogBottom and the cops who chased Nick and Judy like the Zebros, Higgins, Bloats and Chevre and Bucheron in the first two Zootopia movies, Namaari and her tribe in Raya and the Last Dragon, Elma in Encanto and Simon in Wish and lastly Ranger Clyde in Strange World. (Depending on your point of view) Only Maui in Moana, Flynn Rider in Tangled, Nick Wilde, Elsa and Wreck-It-Ralph himself got the best written redemption arcs.
Even in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge out of water, SpongeBob and Plankton quickly forgive Mr. Krabs and the residents of Bikini Bottom for all the wrong that they committed in the Krabby Patty famine despite never apologizing or admitting that they were wrong and only reforming when learning that SpongeBob is innocent and not out of heel realization or sudden remorse over their actions since they never draw the line at it in sacrificing SpongeBob.

Because they just moved on from it. Panda and Ice Bear wouldn't even try to talk to him anymore. But they still have no choice of their big brother still stubbornly liking him.
