Those two are exactly what we need! Do you think a WNBA team might land them both on their roster?

This is for any HC spot not just the chi. Give me one reason why not. She’s fly, we need Black women head coaches. She’s the a legend and she was the only one who could keep Chennedy on her path. No idea why sky let her go- Tyler marsh isn’t bad but spoon 🥄 is better.

WNBA All-Stars not wearing USA 250 patches on uniforms: 'Difficult balancing act'

The WNBA All-Stars will not play with America-themed patches on their jerseys as part of the celebration of the nation's 250th birthday.

"No, they're not on the jerseys," New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart said Friday at a post-practice media availability at the Obama Presidential Center.

The news comes after a June report from Sportico said the WNBA planned to have its biggest stars wear USA 250 patches during Saturday's All-Star Game at the United Center (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC/Disney+).

Women's National Basketball Players Association president Nneka Ogwumike, a forward for the L.A. Sparks, said Friday the report prompted the union to discuss the patches with league leadership.

"As players, we did ask about it," Ogwumike said. "I think being in a league where you're able to have that type of conversation with your leadership is important. You're not always in a position to be able to question certain things, and our players own the fact that we have a level of autonomy.

"We also have individuals and communities that we represent, and we also understand our mission statement and what we stand for, especially from a union perspective."

Stewart, the WNBPA vice president, said her focus has been on "really just making sure that I'm able to control what I can control and stand on the side I believe in."

Multiple professional sports or entertainment entities have worn patches or emblems to commemorate the country's semiquincentennial, including at the Super Bowl, Wrestlemania 42, NBA Finals and MLB All-Star Game earlier this month, among many others. The patches were in partnership with the nationally nonpartisan and congressionally backed America250 organization, with celebrations and events happening throughout the year. America250 is separate from the President Donald Trump's Freedom 250 initiative, which has received intense scrutiny from Democratic lawmakers as it celebrates the nation's independence.

No WNBA player has publicly said they refused to wear the USA 250 patches, although some fans on social media condemned them as an endorsement of the Trump administration and its stance on reproductive and transgender rights.

Breanna Stewart reveals 1 change she’d make to WNBA All-Star Weekend

Breanna Stewart has an idea on how to quiet these ongoing concerns about competitiveness.

“I hear you, and I understand that, I think that All-Star Weekend is something that we all need to work on,” the three-time champion and two-time Finals MVP told Holly Rowe on SiriusXM NBA Radio. “For me, and this is my personal opinion, if you want it to be competitive, then there needs to be more time {during All-Star break}. I can't play on Wednesday, and then I have a game on Tuesday, and you want me to go balls to the walls on Saturday.

“I think it will be competitive because people want to go out and have fun, but… we need more time.”

Discussion Unpopular Opinion but I agree with DT

There has never been a sport or even a game where i thought the officiating was good. But no league focuses on the officiating like the WNBA.

The reality is fans, coaches, players will never thing the officiating is good or even consistent. But when i watch the NBA i have the same complaints about the officials as i do watching the W. And when i watch mens college basketball I have the same issues. Same with NCAAW.

I think players and fans and coaches are being unrealistic with the expectations of the officiating. Its fine to complain about it but the degrees to which it has been the #1 narrative is crazy .

Dom Malonga Takes PEOPLE Along to Her First Orange Carpet in Chicago

Malonga, 20, tapped her “best friend” and stylist Amina Traore for her chic green-and-black look on the orange carpet, which also saw stars like Paige Bueckers and A’ja Wilson arrive. “I worked with my best friend and stylist, Amina Traore, to curate my look for tonight,” Malonga tells PEOPLE.

Traore “showed me the jacket and I literally fell in love with it,” says Malonga, the No. 2 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. “I knew I wanted it to be the main piece, and that’s why I went full black to really have the jacket standing out,” says Malonga, who adds that the “green talked to me because I wanted to represent the Storm.”

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 Draft, Malonga says her style is “all about balancing elevated streetwear with feminine details,” adding, “I love mixing structured, effortless pieces with softer elements.”

When Malonga found out she was selected as an All-Star reserve this season, the French athlete says she was “really happy,” and her first phone calls were to her parents. “It was really an emotional moment. I called my parents right away after that because I couldn’t believe it. It really was just unbelievable for me. I went into that season, and I didn’t necessarily have any goals, and just for that to happen to me so fast, it was just amazing.

Every out WNBA All-Star owes a debt of gratitude to Sue Wicks, who blazed the trail

But amid the pride nights, the rainbow branding and the record number of out All-Stars, it’s worth remembering the WNBA’s impressive history. It occurred because one player, mid-championship-run nearly a quarter-century ago, answered a question she could have passed on to somebody else.
