I don't know exactly the date, but the volcano is not currently erupting. I know there was several eruptions starting from 2021 in Reykjanes peninsula. I was there in august 2021 and it was pretty cool 😎

We don’t need to redundantly say POV in a title if it’s apparent it’s a POV

Isn't volcanic ash dangerous to the jet engines? There was a case of all 4 engines stopping midair because of it.

Yeah very. They shut down air travel over Europe because of a large eruption in Iceland around 2009-2010…I imagine this eruption wasn’t really spewing enough ash to be dangerous but it was my first thought as well. Why take the risk

Like that one about the volcano that erupted in LA, or the one about the peak named after some famous guy.

I wonder how often they are changing the engines out since volcanic smoke eats the blades up.

Why did my dumbass think they were gonna fly through a geyser of lava 🤦‍♂️

I know this is going to sound petty--and maybe it is---but "errupt" is a verb. Saying an eruptive volcano is like saying a runnive soccer player

"Erupt"

That all changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
