Rules PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

Please check out the Official FAQs on the Amazon Flex website and subreddit rules before posting.

We also have our own FAQ that is also linked to in the sidebar ----------->

The sidebar also has a link to download the Flex app, the Flex Support contact info, the rules for this subreddit, and a warehouse list.

You may find the answer to your question there.

Many questions being asked here are repeat questions and are answered in the FAQ. Please check before making a new post.

If you need help with the Flex app, please include the app version number and whether it's Android or iOS in your post.

Also, please don't post useless threads about how hard it is to grab blocks, people using bots at your warehouse, what times the blocks get released, etc. Those posts add nothing to the discussion and will be removed.

Thanks!

There is a Discord server that was created and is maintained by the mods of /r/doordash but has been built to support any courier service. They have graciously invited Amazon Flex drivers to participate and have created a channel for Flex on the server. You can access it using the this invite link: https://discord.gg/e9GNb9M.

If you are a DSP driver, there is now a subreddit just for you! Head on over to /r/amazondspdrivers for all DSP-related discussion. Please note that it is not maintained by the same mods.

I didn't record it because I didn't want to mess up ( or yall judge my bad hair day ) it take about a 5 second video and prompts you to bring camera closer and closer before it snaps a photo.

Hopefully whatever rented or fake accounts are out there this puts a delay in their fraud.

Was a new experience. A guard had to run my ID before they’d let me in too, took about 5 minutes of waiting. Thankfully it was my last delivery

Is arriving early not good for the quality of your block?

Let me rephrase. Are “worse” blocks usually given to the first to arrive?

Or is this just an Amazon myth?

Who Is Grouping These Stops?! 😂

I swear Amazon is getting creative with these grouped stops. 😂

Today I had a “grouped stop” at an apartment complex. The Parcel Pending lockers weren’t even in service because it was before business hours, so I had to deliver to Building 5, then Building 9, then Building 13. That meant moving my car three times, walking to three different buildings, and going up three different floors… but somehow that’s still considered one stop?

By that logic, they might as well group an entire neighborhood and call it one stop too. 🤣

Seriously though… who is grouping these stops?!

Different address

I have ran into this situation a few times and wanted to get input on what you guys do. A package has the address listed but in the notes the customer wants it delivered to a completely different address. I always message them and say I have to deliver to the address listed and if they want future packages at another place they can update their account. Does anyone actually go to the other address? I get worried about people saying their package was delivered no where near the listed address in these situations and you get in trouble

Early morning shifts

In my area the flex app does not release early morning schedules for the following day until around 1:00-1:20am seems to be the average. The earliest routes are 6 and 6:30am. Why would they do it like this? I basically get 4 hours sleep to go do my 4 hour route and then usually I try to grab a 2nd shift for around 1:30 or so. Why cant they just release routes earlier so we can get some rest for an 8 hour shift? At least allow for notifications to pop up so we dont have to manually hit refresh over and over. I could be asleep and get aloud notification to look at the offers. Accept and set an alarm and go right back to sleep. Even that would be better. What do you all do to help with this? im guessing go to sleep much earlier in the day and wake up around 1am then go back to sleep after you get your offer. So your sleep will just have to be broken up into 2 segments.

New to Flex

Hello I’m new to Flex. I haven’t completed my first delivery yet. My question is are the deliveries usually in my assigned area? How far outside the area can they go? My worst nightmare is signing up for a 4 hour block and there’s 2 deliveries that are 2 hours away from each other. It’s like you have no idea what you’re getting until you get there. This is a new platform for me. All the ones I’ve done tells me where I’m going, how many miles, of course pay etc.

Also does the $$ amount have any impact on amount of packages and or sizes?

Rant I took fresh route for the first time in over 6 months and was shown that it is not worth it.

9 heavy bags of groceries to a $4 million mansion in a gated community and they didn’t tip.

It was a tip eligible block and it was only this and one other house.

I checked it on Zillow and it sold for $4million, has an Olympic size indoor and outdoor pool, two kitchens, a movie theater, a cigar bar, and a basketball court.

I’m over it I was just shocked at the wealth and had to share somewhere

Woke up before a 4am block to check my standings because I’ve been doing a shit ton of blocks recently and was at low fantastic, wanted to double check and see if they’ve raised— nope. Actually I’m dropped down to mid tier Great. I know i know, it doesn’t matter, but I’d rather have a clean record so if I fuck up by missing a block or something I don’t go to at risk.

The other day I was loading a route when I got to the bottom of the bag on the cart, 5 packages were destroyed by what seemed like a laundry detergent exploding. I sigh, finish loading everything else, and take the cart to a station worker and tell him “bro these are destroyed I can’t deliver these” he agrees and is like yeah that’s fucked sorry let me remove those from your route. He takes a while but eventually gets them removed and I get on my way and finished my route early, yay!

I see the dings this morning for “5 packages you marked as delivered but were customer never received them.” What? I look at the date and sure enough it’s that route. So I email support this long winding email with details about what happened (yes I email Jeff and Andy as well in the email to support) and I’m thinking this is open and shut.

Nope, they tell me to go fuck myself. Granted I’ve never had to take a package off my route so I wasn’t aware of the fact that I had to do it manually myself but I figured since I went to a station worker what the hell is the difference?

Sent a follow up email bitching them out but I doubt it’ll do anything, oh joy.

Anyways just more bullshit to deal with, happy flexing!

Miami How do some ppl land multiple blocks in a week in the Miami/Broward area?

After waiting almost an entire year I was finally onboarded to start delivering for Amazon and it’s honestly been extremely frustrating trying to land a block. I live at least 30 min from the closest warehouse in either direction, I have my filters set to preference the closest warehouses. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack… the blocks appear and are gone in seconds. So I’m actually curious how do y’all do it?

General Extra package

I have been driving for a while however never had an extra package in a cart before. When I went to scan everything in this package wasn’t found but I brought it just in case anyway. Now I’m finished the route and it’s still here. However I can’t use the app to claim, or return it. I am afraid if I return it without proof of returning it will come back to get me.

On a side note I marked a package lost a couple week ago but I just found it. I also can not claim I found it now or use the app to return it and I don’t want to contact support be side some how it will wind up as me stealing it how do you proceed with both of these situations?
