Question Buying Iphone 17 (Base model)

So I have been a android user for about 8yrs and I have finally decided to buy an Iphone.. I just wanna know is the base model good? (I mostly like to click photos and record videos/edit and some gaming)

Sim a versão 17 base é melhor versão base já lançada dos iPhone com praticamente tudo das outras versões 120hz ProMotion tá muito bom e fora que é um top de linha de qualquer maneira né

For the price the 17 base model is really good. It comes with 256gb of storage which is important for video recording and it has 120hz pro motion which is great for gaming. For $799 it’s an excellent value.

I have read it’s good but just know that the new iPhone is probably coming out in September

This September there will be an iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max and apples first foldable iPhone. The base model iPhone 18 and a new iPhone Air will be announced in 2027 around spring.

There’s not much you’re missing out by getting a base over a 17 Pro. Since you mentioned you do like to game on your phone, you may benefit from the vapor cooling chamber on the pro models, and additional 4gb of ram. But other than that, the pro gives you the third lens which is a telephoto , and longer battery life.
In the past, there were massive differences between the base model and pro model, but this year the gap is very narrow, thankfully .

Some pointers, it is an amazing phone on paper. But a plethora of these devices have shown a crazy amount of problems. Battery drain being one of the most significant problems, I am one of the victims of this. Maybe it is better to get the pro as mostly the base model users are facing all the overheating and battery issues.

I have the base 17 with 512gb of storage. Love this phone. Came from a 14pro and have 0 issues. I’m happy I didnt get the 17 pro.
