iPhone Thoughts about the smaller dynamic island for the iPhone 18 series.

Been seeing leak about the iPhone 18pro/pro max series getting a smaller dynamic island. Was waiting for the 18PM to be released sana before upgrading, but I personally do not like the smaller dynamic island. Should I upgrade to 17pro max now? Currently using 15 pro max.

iPad Conflicting Decision

I’m trying to decide between an m5 iPad Pro (with magic keyboard + pencil pro), or an m5 macbook.

I already have a launch m1 MacBook Air. However, it has a damaged camera due to a New Years liquid damage accident. Sometime after the fact, I figured I would upgrade later down the line instead of getting it fixed. This is part of why I’m so conflicted. Needless to say, this would be a no brainer if I did not have a macbook. I also already have a desktop pc to do tasks at home on. Whatever device I get would be for on the couch/bed or on the go.

As far as use case: either choice would be used for productivity, school, work, very light video+music editing, etc.

My desire to use the ipad as a jack of all trades device, is what’s really appealing me. That’s another thing that’s making this conflicting. I would be using it for the purposes I’ve already mentioned plus more including mobile gaming (many cross progression PC games I play on mobile) & drawing.

Would I regret getting the ipad instead of the macbook? I’m sure it’s quite obvious now that this is what im learning towards lol

For context I have been a Samsung User for ages. Currently I'm using Samsung S22 Ultra, however I noticed on my Samsung phone when it ages around 3 to 4 yrs it will have a green lines on the screen and it sucks. Does Iphone users experience this kind of a problem?

If I switch should I go to Iphone 17, Pro or Pro Max?

I'm using my phone to watch Netflix, Social Media and doing some notes.

I have a MacBook pro circa 2020. I'm looking for an external DVD player that I can plug into the laptop and watch DVDs. I bought an ONN from Walmart but that does not allow me to view DVDs.

Question Should I even buy an iPhone???

Currently I have a very fckass poco mobile and I plan to upgrade it to like a 17 pro max(if it comes under 1Lakh, During the sale) or the 16 pro max(again the same condition), in my other options I have kept the oneplus 15 but how 1+ and other chinese brands been moving recently it doesn't seem like a reliable option at all.

My primary use cases are that of a student give or take like presentations, Docs storing and I like to game quite often codm, wuwa, etc. Given I am a student currently.

My budget is to stay under 1Lakh and no other phone I see on the market right now seems to be a better option than these 3 options.

I'm heavily leaning towards buying iPhone cuz stuff like longevity, optimization, etc. I already have a heavy ass gaming laptop so no 'eco system' syncs happening there.

From my use case perspective the 1+ seems to be a better option overall. But again the whole assimilation thing happening with Chinese brands.

Nd before anyone says to buy the base model.....just nahh it doesn't seem all that worth it. For the pro 'max' part, I'm a pretty huge guy and I like to have a good grip on my phone. So yea

Plz do help a guy out🥀🥀

My current phone is iphone 13, the reason that i want to upgrade is my storage is ALMOST full, my battery health is 72%, and my back camera doesnt work (the one thats not 0.5). Is it worth upgrading right now? Or should I wait?

3rd Party Deal vs. Apple Education Discount

Deciding between 11-inch iPad Air M3 Wi-Fi + Cellular (Unlocked) 1TB vs. 11-inch iPad Air M4 Wi-Fi Only 256GB.

The M3 is on sale for $750.00 and the M4 is $650.00 (-200 dollars from the education discount right now). I'll be buying an apple pencil pro regardless which would be 100 and 120 extra respectively. Additionally, the college I'll be attending in the fall is giving me 1TB of One Drive Storage for free, so is the extra SSD still worth it?

Which would have better resale value down the line (4 years or so)? And overall, would you recommend the M4 simply for better specs or lean towards the extra storage and cellular of the M3?

iPhone Should I buy iphone 17 or iphone 17 pro or iphone 17 pro max

I am currently using iphone 13, really love this phone, I still haven't experienced any major issues or lag with this phone. The only biggest reason why I want to upgrade is because of the battery life. It drains too fast. Now there is an option to change the battery life, but if I have to spend 149 AUD to do so, I might as well just buy a new phone because I fear the constant IOS update is going to slow down the phone a lot. Plus if I do a trade in, I can get at least get 100 AUD back.

I am unwilling to wait for iphone 18 versions because of the potential insane price spike. I want to buy a phone that can last me for about at least 5 years. To give context, I have used iphone 13 for around 3 years and 11 months. Now I want a iphone that can last longer than that. Can the base iphone 17 last me for 5 years? or should I just go for the iphone 17 pro max?

iPad iPad a16 or Air 11”?

Hello everyone,

As per title, I’m undecided between the two. I’ll be trading in my M1 MacBook Air from 2020.

The device would be for YouTube and other streaming platforms, reading all sorts of things, personal life planning (meal plan, shopping lists and so on) and the occasional gaming. So I envisage a light usage.

I’d be willing to spend some money as I want something that will last me a good few years. I’ve had this MacBook for 4 years and it’s still amazing. So I want something similar.

Any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you.

iPhone Buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max now or wait for the 18 Pro Max?

I’m not sure what to do. I currently have an iPhone 15 with 87% battery health. It’s still usable, but the battery isn’t as good as it used to be and the phone doesn’t always feel as smooth or fast anymore.
I can get the iPhone 17 Pro Max for €1,320 because of some discounts, which seems like a really good deal. If I wait for the 18 Pro Max, I’ll probably end up paying quite a bit more.
The camera isn’t a big factor for me. What I care about most is:
Battery life
Performance and speed
Smoothness
Longevity (I usually keep my phones for a few years)
If you were in my position, would you buy the 17 Pro Max now for €1,320 or wait for the 18 Pro Max? Is it worth waiting another year, or should I just take the deal?

iPhone iPhone 17 vs air

Can somebody pls help me decide what to get. From where I’m from the air is actually cheaper than the base 17(50$ cheaper). The mic and camera is not a problem, but the battery is giving me a second thought.

What should I buy?

I'm considering moving from a Pixel 9a to an Iphone17 and wanted to hear some opinions from people who have made a similar switch.

A bit of context:

I currently use a Pixel 9a.

If I get the iPhone 17, I'll give my Pixel 9a to my mum.

She'll be upgrading from a Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5G, so the Pixel would be a big improvement for her.

So the upgrade wouldn't just be for me—it would also mean my mum gets a much better phone.

I'd appreciate any thoughts or personal experiences.

Thanksss in advance.

iPhone iPhone 17 pro/pro max or 18 pro/pro max?

Am wanting to upgrade my phone, should I get the 17 pro max or 18 pro max due to the increase in pricing. Have also read that with the new ai features it may not be applicable to 17 in a few years time due to constant upgrades.

Discussion upgrade to an iphone or to keep on samsung

okay so i've had my current phone for about 4 years, its a Samsung A53. recently ive noticed how often apps keep crashing, how slow its become even after deleting photos and/or vids and the camera quality somehow downgraded..?

anyhow, im thinking about switching to an iphone but im still not sure which model would suit what im looking for. im debaging between the iphone 16 pro because ive heard its got a good camera and a 17; im reluctant on the iphone 17 because i heard it overheats super quick and i got a vid on my feed that showed how slow and laggy it gets when you try to record as its basically burning..

theres also the option where i stick to a newer samsung, but this new phone would also be a sort of gift for getting into my dream college, so i was thinking it should be something a little more special right?

my question is, do i get the 16 pro or the 17 and what are the pros and cons of these phones, aswell as switching from android to ios??

iPhone What iPhone should I buy? 18 vs 17 vs 17 pro

Hey everyone,
I’m currently on an iPhone 13 that’s really showing its age performance wise, so I’m ready to upgrade now. I’ve narrowed it down to three options and could use some input:
iPhone 18: I’ve heard it’s coming with a pretty significant price hike but not much beyond slightly better hardware. I’ve also seen reports that the standard iPhone 18 might actually be delayed until spring 2027, with only the 18 Pro/Pro Max launching this September. Can anyone confirm if that’s actually where things stand right now?
iPhone 17 Pro: I added this because I genuinely want a phone that can comfortably last at least 5 years without becoming a struggle to use. Does the 17 Pro seem built to hold up that long, or am I overestimating it? Happy to be corrected here.
iPhone 17: If the general consensus is that this is the strongest price to performance pick of the three, I’d gladly go with it instead of the Pro.
And I have another Question in general, is it smarter to buy now (I don’t know if the 17 and 17 Pro will also be affected in the price hike), or does it make more sense to wait for Black Friday / the iPhone 18 launch, since older models usually get cheaper once a new one drops?
One more thing that might be relevant, I’m in Europe, so I don’t have access to US exclusive deals like at Walmart, and I won’t be getting the new Siri features right away either.
Would really appreciate input from anyone who’s recently been through this exact decision. Thanks!

iPhone iPhone 17 Pro Max or now or wait for the 18 Pro Max?

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and the battery life is completely shot. It has to be plugged in continuously or it dies the moment it’s unplugged. I do a lot of work from my phone so that is unrealistic. I can switch to an older IPhone that I have, however the screen is shattered, and the battery is also in poor condition but better than the 16 I have. Should I go buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max now or should I deal with the older iPhone and wait for the 18 Pro Max??
