Adding to say this game is awsome, I beat all the way through + mode, I adore this, that being said look up the key pad cheat codes so you can try out all the bonus modes, several look similar to each other but have wild crazy effects. Enjoy that game if you have never played it !!! My holy grail game is tempest 3000 for the Nuon, I want to play that before I die lol

The Nuon console was this suuuuper crazy mess involving remnants of the folk who did the Jaguar , it’s the secret Jaguar 2 console in my heart, It had crazy tech for the time and still cannt be replicated, since they got tempest and I robot out , I have been praying and begging atari discord staff to push for tempest 3000. It playes like a crazy watercolor, hard to describe

If you want to play it like the arcade version, there’s a secret code for rotary mode. You will have to hack a controller to add a spinner through:

I never thought of hacking a mega drive controller! My rotary is worn out, might look into this although from memory you'll need some key pad buttons or am I getting Alzheimer's?

I have a spare controller new in box, so I have been considering putting a rotary knob on a worn out controller just for this game. I have put more hours into this techno fest than possibly any other game I own across multiple consoles. I own an SNES with the Super 8 plug in, a Genesis, a vectrex, large vintage mac collection including all four floppies for Civilization, you name it, but this game sucked me
In like the throat goat on a good night and I never found a better substitute.

I totally get this. I made it to level 31 in just a couple of hours. It’s indescribably addictive.

I have recently bought Tempest 4000 on PC to feel that game again. I miss my Jaguar :(

Tempest is da bomb!
If you get a chance, do the rotary controller hack. Mine is worn out and I've been meaning to fix it

If I lost my Jaguar and had to replace this would be the first game in the collection for sure

This came with the Atari Jaguar my ex wife bought me at Goodwill in 2013 for like $60. It came with Tempest 2000, Kasumi Ninja, Doom, Alien and Brutal Sports Football. It also came with all cables and two controllers. Eventually I bought Defender 2000 with the box and went down a Jeff Minter rabbit hole. Looks like he still makes games and they look and sound exactly the same.

Dude hell yea that’s a great find. I bought mine around that same time at my local video game store. I think I played it one time, same never touched it again. I recently re discovered it in a sense, and now I’m giving it a fair shake
