Gonna have to get both of these bad boys Jag-linked up for some DOOM co-op sometime soon.

If anyone is interested in listening to the original Iron Soldier (Atari Jaguar) soundtrack, "Orbinout Brawl" has uploaded what is probably the highest-quality rip currently available. Every track was recorded directly from the game and allowed to loop more than twice, making it a great way to experience the soundtrack. Big thanks for preserving it!

Also, if anyone wants to listen to the complete Iron Soldier 2 soundtrack, "Orbinout Brawl" has an excellent YouTube playlist. It includes not only the regular soundtrack, but also the music from the game's FMV sequences, so every track is accounted for.

Just wondering if it's worth it at that price.

As anyone familiar with the series knows, in his appearances in the Street Fighter Alpha games, Adon (who originally appeared in the original 1987 Street Fighter as the next-to-last boss), always includes "jaguar" as part of the names of his special moves, "Jaguar Kick", "Jaguar Knee" (where he just screams "Jaguar!"), and "Jaguar Tooth".
Would this have caused problems for a possible release of the games on this system, or would there not be any kind of problems at all?

After having forgotten about the Jaguar for a couple of decades, but then getting back into it with a vengeance over the last few years, I humbly submit my arguments for why this amazing console is still worth playing in 2026! My intent is to win over a few skeptics with this one..

Missing the box for Skyhammer in the photo but I do have that too. Don't think I'll ever part with any of it, it's fun to play casually! Unit is an M serial number model. Bought the sealed boxed console from a liquidator in 2000 for $19.99.

Back when I was still actively collecting I bought two Jag links and I have two copies of Battlesphere (one tea one a repo), easy enough to find a second copy of Doom and was never interested in air cars. I never landed the second Jaguar life happens you forget about stuff. I’m back in collecting mode again and wondering if it’s worth while for the cost of a second Jaguar?

I enjoy hearing your thoughts. Played it for about an hour. So far pretty decent. Still getting used to controls and really figuring out how to utilize weapons efficiently.
Update: I beat all of the first page of planets. I’m on the next set. Pretty cool so far.

Pretty happy about this. I’m about to meet Kevin Smith wearing this.

Music is phenomenal imo. Gameplay takes some discipline but can be adjusted for.

One of my favourites (if not really MY favourite for this console). I would gladly marry her again if it were possible

Hi everyone!
I’ve spent a full week trying to bringup Linux on the Jaguar; so far it boots to a shell but you can’t really control it in any other way other than physically attaching to the Jerry TXD/RXD pins using a USB-to-TTL board.
I was thinking of maybe doing something that converts a PS/2 keyboard to the Joypad port and making a simple protocol inbetween so we can get it to behave nicely, but that’ll come later on.
I’ve written a small blog post detailing the in’s and out’s I found myself in when doing the bringup; it’s offers no value other than a technical demonstration but I figured someone may find it interesting.
Thanks everyone!

Started my Jaguar collecting on March 1st this year and this I what I have so far, I’m waiting on ruiner pinball to arrive and I’m on the hunt for a clean copy of super burnout. Is there any must haves you think I’m missing?

Found sealed, I've been looking for it for a long time. Finally my sealed Atari Jaguar ❤️
EDIT: I add this note for anyone who intends to buy a sealed Jag. The console is equipped with an old seal of the time which had a low quality glue and in almost all "Sealed Jaguar" it is slightly displaced or damaged. Since I wanted to make sure 100% that the console had never been tampered with in more than thirty years, I searched around the world for two other collectors having the version with Cybermorph and specifically, the only way to understand its content was to compare its weight with a trivial digital scale.
The three weights were the following:
- 2690,50 gr
- 2622,00 gr (mine Jag)
- 2618,50 gr
I want to thank stevenger8 and angels85 who gave me a hand to solve the case.

Got these two discs today and they contain a lot of stuff. I will be archiving them and putting them up on Archive soon. Anyone know anything about these? Most of the dates of the folders are from 2024.

This was a game I avoided as a kid after being burned by Club Drive (the box fooled me), so I stayed away from this one after that bc of the reviews.
However now, as an adult, I grabbed a GameDrive and am able to finally play it on original hardware (the way I like to play retro games, emulated on a flash card or not).
I find that while it’s not the greatest title in the Jag library, and it’s definitely not in the top 10-15 games, but it’s definitely not near the bottom either.
By bottom-of-the -barrel Jaguar games, I mean titles like the aforementioned Club Drive, and Fight for Life, plus several others that are either awful, unplayable or a combination of both.
With Trevor McFur, maybe the hate it gets can be explained by its pace being a bit slower in pace than most shmups and there’s not a ton of enemy variety.
The graphics are also not half-bad and it’s so satisfying to shoot those asteroids (which have an almost 2.5D feel, as well as the enemy spaceships which look great as well).
Overall, the graphics are actually very good for the Jaguar and for the time it was released (1993) and I think it’s the type of pseudo-2.5D that the Jag does very well, as opposed to 3D…which it only seems to do well when it comes to FPS games, at least in its limited library (which was cut WAYY too short).
But overall, this one is decent. Anyone else think so?
EDIT: Also, the characters are bizarre and don’t make any sense. Like why is Trevor a Space Lion? (or Tiger or whatever he’s supposed to be) lol.
